Not a fake account, IYFTech, just a new one. Got my TerraMiner delivered on Wednesday!

It'd be wonderful to get the hash rate on Directpool a little higher (you really should check it out)!

I would do, but when I see fake accounts set up to bump/praise a pool thread it kinda puts me off. CEX tactics 

I started using Directpool last week, and I'm very impressed! Fantastic live statistics, great interface and competitive community.

I highly recommend you check it out if you haven't already. Thanks for the write up!

P2Pool and DirectPool made a PSA about spreading out the hash power! Help us!

I posted a PSA (Public Service Announcement) about the real problems and challenges we could be facing if we don't spread out the miners to other pools.
It is becoming way too centralized, and we need to step up now, as adoptors and miners of bitcoin today, and into the future.

They have launched outside of the Beta stages as of March 15, 2014 - giving Bitcoiners valuable community-driven benefits in exchange for their miner's hash power.  
Bitcoiners can make their new home with DirectPool, ran by a trusted group, and further redistributing total bitcoin network hashrate to protect the network against 51% attacks.

Step #1 - Register an Account
Create a username, password, and pin number.

Wait, where does it ask me for my email?

Exactly, this is what I like about DirectPool.net - In my discussions with the team, they have stated they do NOT need your email address to get started in mining. In fact, due to numerous safety reasons, and user-friendly options, no email address is required to sign-up.  I loved this idea because most users get attacked because a hacker can simply password recover-- leaving you vulnerable to Bitcoins or Crypto Coins getting stolen.

Step #2 - Login and begin exploring your account's interface

The main menu will appear on the left-side panel, giving you immediate access to resources you need access to such as; Bitcoin News, Hash Rate, Current mined Shares, Current BTC Balance, Your Personal Dashboard, Pool Stats, Worker Information, Transactions (Coins Generated/Withdrew), Charts & Graphics (Amazing Details you don't want to miss), Block Stats, FAQ, and Getting Started with DirectPool.net

This Account Interface, Charts, and Statistics are clearly what every miner needs. There has been a lot of thought put into this
about what we "miners" want from the pool, and in my opinion, this pool has clearly shown their dedication to deliver on those features.

Step #4 - Configure Worker Username and Password

Your main login username is set by default as the first part of the username, now you have to create a worker username and password. In the screenshot below, my website username is "AJ" and my example Worker Username will be X1 and password X2.

Once finished it will look like this:

Step # 5 - Review Your Account Mining Stats

Download the relevant software for your hardware and connect the stratum url + your username.worker-username and password to your miner. On the lightningAsics (SHA256) controller panel, enter this information, and save settings to connect the miner.

Step #8 - Review Account Settings (Enter BTC Payout Details)

It is recommended to enter your BTC Payout address, Donation percentage, the amount of coins before a payout occurs, and any other modifications you would like to make. I recommend entering a donation percentage of 2% since this pool will be providing funding for the non-profit organization: Bitcoin Business Alliances to help out with Bitcoin adoption and growth. However, any and all modifications are decisions that you can make.

Connect Mining Info to LightningASICS Controller

If you have Scrypt/ASICS miners by LightningASICS, please connect your miner now to the controller as shown below. Use the DirectPool.net credentials to get the miner connected on the controller panel screen. Then save configuration and begin mining Bitcoin on DirectPool.net using ASIC BTC miners.
