If you go for cryptonote coin (which are OK to mine with CPU), you can try Minergate, they have easy to install multicoin GUI miner

minerd -a x13/x14/15... -o stratum+tcp://cipherpool.com:8850 -u username/wallet adress -p password -t 1 (threads that want to use, If you do not specify it uses all cores!)
