Hi MinerAvikal!

First of all, be aware that cpu mining is far less efficient than gpu mining. For that it's generally better to mine with you're gpu, which implies a better hashrate (and thus a higher payback), less power consumption and normally less overheating hazard. You can compare your hardware potential here : https://litecoin.info/Mining_Hardware_Comparison. This is meant for litecoin, but as stablecoin also uses scrypt algorythm, the results on this page are also valid for it.

Play4 is, as far as I know, a P2P pool which I'm not familiar with.
Nonetheless, a P2P pool is surely not a good option for CPU mining, as they are not ment to be used by users with low hashrate. That's certainly why you weren't paid for you're shares. A P2P pool pay you for your blocks, not for your shares.

But I'm currently cpu mining on pushpools with my CPU, an i7-2670qm, and it's working just fine. Here is how to do.

1. You have to signup on a mining pool. You have a quite up to date list on the stablecoin official thread here : https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/annsbc-from-death-comes-life-the-rebirth-of-stablecoin-urgent-update-349198
I'm mining on sbc.cryptoculture.net as it's the biggest pool for stablecoin, increasing the regularity of my paybacks wich is an asset for me. Nonetheless the 2% fee is quite high... Feel free to try several pools.

2. Create a worker on your pool account. The way to create a worker is generally explained on the "Getting started" page of your pool.

3. Download latest version of pooler's cpuminer (aka minerd) here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/an-even-more-optimized-version-of-cpuminer-poolers-cpuminer-cpu-only-55038 and extract it on your computer.

4. Open Notepad and write "minerd --url=YourPoolURL:YourPoolPort --userpass=YourProfileName.YourWorkerName:YourWorkerPassword". I personnally have : "minerd --url=stratum+tcp://sbc.cryptoculture.net:3402 --userpass=Fargusson.worker2:1234".
The pool's URL and port can be find in its "Getting started" page.

5. Click on "File", "Save As", change the file type in "All files" and write as file name "StartMining.bat". Then save into the folder "pooler-cpuminer-x.x.x-win32" you just extracted.
If everything is allright, your text file should be recognized as a Command file by Windows. You could have to change some settings on the "Folder options" section of the Control Panel in order to display the Windows Command files. If you got a Professional edition, it should be automatic.

6. Double click on your StartMining.bat file. This should start Minerd and start mining.

With a Core 2 Duo, you will normally reach between 5 khashes/s and 20 khashes/s, depending of your version. That means you will make between 0.6 and 2.4 SBC per day if you're running 24/24. You can check on https://litecoin.info/Mining_Hardware_Comparison to compare if your hashrate is what it's supposed to be.

Be aware that CPU mining can make your CPU heat a lot. Be sure your cooling system is sufficiently working and control, at least for the beginning, your CPU temperature by using, for example, CPUID HW monitor (freeware).

I hope I was clear enough.

Don't hesitate to ask me again if needed.

Good luck !
