Why not look at those crypto events and search for those which did cruise events. There were a HELL lot in 2017-2019 IIRC almost every project did a cruise. Or, pick up the phone and call and talk to these guys. Trust me, I've paid one or two things for crypto when doing p2p marketplace stuff, and they eventually agree if the amount is big enough. Saves fees on everybody's side Smiley

Good luck and let us know how it goes!!

There may be a person willing to pay for your cruise in exchange for your crypto. Make a thread in the currency exchange section and see if there is any interest. I'm not sure I would take the risk as most methods could chargeback or create a fraud alert, but it might be another option if a trusted member and escrow are used.

Yea, I attend a regular Bitcoin meetup at a nearby Pub and I have actually seen a lot of people doing "trades" like this.

They sit next to each other, book a holiday online and the one person pay for the holiday and the other person transfer the Bitcoin for that amount to that person. (They do this in front of us, so we are the escrow)  Grin

We get a "free" drink for our service.  Cool

if you want to sail using a cruise ship, it's better to liquidate your crypto into money first and then use it to buy tickets. because crypto is currently still not a legal currency that can be used throughout the world. so if you want to use your crypto, it's better and better to liquidate it into money first after that, then you can use it for whatever you want.

in the past I have seen sites that allowed you to purchase trips/flights etc directly with payment in crypto currencies.
The only doubt is, is there a saving or do you spend more? Does it really make sense to pay directly in cryptocurrencies and not instead exchange them and use them on a classic online portal (which perhaps has larger volumes and therefore more competitive prices?)

Years ago I tried to pay for the purchase of a used car in BTC. The seller asked me 20% more as fee Smiley
I started laughing and asked him the IBAN where to make the euro transfer....

So how was it OP? Did you get what you came for? Would you mind sharing it with us just in case you've found it so other people might be able to check out what you've done. You didn't reply and your last post is this one, so I hope that there's a possibility that you did find a way to pay for a cruise using crypto.

Does anyone know a site where you can pay for a cruise (for example, a Caribbean one) with cryptocurrency?  There was a site called Crypto Cruise Deals a few years ago, but it seems to be closed.
Now I have only found on the Internet an offer to buy gift cards of several cruise companies with cryptocurrency, but not to pay for the entire cruise.

When I have such a question, I always to look in the merchant dictionaries of the main crypto payment providers. By doing so, I came across this entry at Bitpay. However, on the first glance, this seems to be only cruise deals for military members and veterans. Yet, you can do same research on other crypto payment providers. Maybe you'll find something suitable.

Me too having a hard time finding such services offering direct crypto payments online. Some are really just offering gift cards. With all the suggestions, it's good to say that you will need to convert your crypto to fiat first and buy or book using it.

You can inquire about paying with crypto option on this site. These are Antarctica Cruises & Expeditions, they offer a lot of different cruises, mainly visiting The South Pole. They answer all of the questions via email, about payment details as well.

Either you pay someone to pay you or you buy using debit cards, which can be charged with Bitcoin.
Using Google I found these services:
https://crypto-rockstars.com/
https://ticket.seasummit.com/
You may find more options, but using debit cards gives you a wider range of options and still gets deducted from your Bitcoin balance.

I remember a user here named Elwar who bought a cruise ship and renamed it MS Satoshi. I don't know how that plan eventually panned out but Bitcoin was, of course, an acceptable payment.

Besides that, Royal Caribbean, Carnival Cruise Lines, and others can be paid with gift cards which you can buy with your Bitcoin. But if you're planning to cruise the Caribbean or other destinations privately, there's also Worldwide Boat which accepts Bitcoin. You might also want to check cryptwerk's list of cruises you can pay with Bitcoin.

The crypto cruise deals website now redirects to a website owned by a family of military veterans. I guess crypto did not work out in the long run for them.

I would rather go with the option of buying cruise using cryptocurrency if the owners agree to such a mode of payment. Possible if you are buying some big luxury one and present yourself as a VIP who has "different" sources of money and thus the need to use crypto. Grin

But if you are the owner of Travala and are looking for integrating the payment there, you might need a lot more in-the-middle transactions.

There was something like that, but I can't find it now, maybe they shut down business around 2020 crazyness.
I even remember someone was accepting bitcoin and other crypto payments for private jets to fly around the world.

Only thing I can find are gift codes for Carnival Cruise Lines, that can be purchased with Bitcoin, but there are some limitations:

~snip~

Instead of looking for a site that would allow you to pay for a cruise with cryptocurrencies, it might not be a bad idea to try the reverse approach. There are companies that organize/sell cruises, and I would personally approach them and ask to add the option of paying with cryptocurrencies.

Of course, you shouldn't expect them to accept cryptocurrencies directly, given their volatility - so you should explain to them that there are payment processors that can serve as insurance that you pay with cryptocurrency, and they get fiat.

Not sure if the offer is still valid, but 2 years ago they accepted Bitcoin -> https://www.cruisetraveloutlet.com/blog/pay-for-your-cruise-with-bitcoin-cryptocurrency/

It's not exactly paying with cryptocurrency but there are crypto debit card providers, here's a good list: Big List of Crypto Debit Cards -- note that you will have to pass an identity verification for this.

Honestly, with all the hoops and whatnot, you might as well just sell your crypto for fiat and pay with it.
