the company Expensify allows you to reimburse your employees with multiple currencies, now including btc.

they said that if your employees report their time as an expense, then you could reimburse them with btc that way.

however, it requires you to buy btc and connect a wallet to your Expensify account first. Unfortunately its still btc to btc.

so, no USD in and btc out functionality yet.....but a step in the right direction

I would also be interested in this service as an employer.

This would probably be most viable with an employer willing to do direct deposits, and a Bitcoin organization with an established credit union or bank. For direct deposit, you usually need a simple note from your bank/CU stating you actually own the account. An organization like BitInstant could then have it credited to your checking account with a debit card attached. BitInstant may also be able to (I don't know the regulations surrounding this) immediately convert received funds to Bitcoins.

It would likely not be viable any other way, but if there's a company which'd expand to opportunities like this, it'd probably be BitInstant.

I'd like to start taking bitcoin as part of my paychecks.
What are some ways to make that easier for my employers?
Is there a company like bitpay but in reverse?
Is there a way to have one company do it both ways? i.e. accept bitcoin/cash from customers and pay out bitcoin/cash to employees?

thanks

I do believe there is a void for this service now. But I would expect someone to grab the idea and run with it. Could be low volymes for now, but the potential is there and large. I for example offered to recieve up to a third of my salary in bitcoin, half a year ago. I was ofcourse declined, but it did shut my employer up about how he's buisness has no use for bitcoin.

I agree with this.
