i just know some scammer selling the illegal GC card. and leave the victim a mass.
who will tell me how to prevent it.
or would anyone rank the risk of the GC type or the trading place?

Escrow can not help in this case, you should ask the seller how did he get for example the amazon gift card, can he prove it? There are some websites which give the payment through amazon GC so they are safe to use, but some people buy them in an illegal way so you should always ask for the source of this GC, otherwise you should trust the seller.

1.Use trusted "middle men" (escrows).

2.Use websites with a review system, where people leave positive or negative feedback after they trade, like

localbitcoins.com or this forum.Trade with people who have lots of positive feedaback.

Gain some experience and learn how to trade.

Good luck OP.

escrow can't help! unfortunately!

and even a good feedback or history of sell can't help... but is a good sign.

I think that the "honest" seller of GC have a limited stock, and even a small discount and not massive (more 50%) that sounds too hard.

yeah, the more discount, the more risk i think , and for some platform , such as amazon, have the reverse mechanism.don't know if the walmart have these issues..

there's no certain way to keep your giftcard transaction safe i guess, because giftcard can only be used for once and can't be checked so escrow will not working at all except just let the buyers meet you in the real life,it's the safest way, giftcard basically not for commercial because it'd use word "gift"

only buy giftcard from those whose have a bunch of trust

i dont think that escrow can help in these type of sales. escrow just checks the balance and forwards it to the buyer. escrow doesnt know the source of the gc. so using escrow is worthless. Risks of using illegal gc are very dangerous.
