I sat down and I was reflecting on how the situation of this country has become from being better to always wishing for a better yesterday and i noticed something very subtle that we all might be overlooking. And this thing usually stems from our parents and society pressure.

Come to think of it, in the olden days, there were only four to five ways you can make money or be a successful person or how you can survive. First, is either by inheritance, or by gifting, if none of this happens, then you will have to pay the price of going to school to study for years then graduate and get employed(it was easier then) and start working to earn, or you don't do any of these and go do little jobs to make money, or you steal or you make it by chance. Those were the only ways.

Now I said our parents are involved is because, we have so much held to their words that the way we think is now the way we think, we want to impress them, then you hear things like I want to be a medical doctor, they even get us books to inspire us and all and then we waste precious years of our lives to pursue certificates and start working to earn small amounts of money, and because our parents don't happen to get such we think that we are rich neglecting to think in our world.

Now that we are in a digital and technology world, you can easily create a service that everyone online can use and then pay you and from there you make money that even engineers and doctors don't earn. Imagine that you did something that everyone in Nigeria is using and they have to pay 1 naira to access it, you will make over 200million in a day and yet people will say your service is cheap. The media has enabled us to have contacts with millions of people at a time and offer them services and we will get paid for that at a good rate.

This is not to say that we should neglect the old ways of going to school to be informed, but that we should stop limiting our mindset to think that unless someone spends 10 years in school reading such a person can't make it.

If most of us take tech seriously at a tender age and we see the prospect, we would have gone very far in our lives and even make impacts in our country even if the govt is not doing anything, I mean there are people who live in Nigeria and work for counties outside, nothing concerns them with the govt or anything.

I hope I am making good points and that this will awaken someone today, look for a small important thing you can do that many people will use an pay small money to access then charge very little you will make it.

Thank you.
ICT tech has it own disadvantages too, because of our focus on ICT tech  ,the young people ignored farming totally, that's why the cost of local products such as garri and tomato are costly today in Nigeria,  our aged parents can't longer produce enough crops for our consumption. Inspire of the wealth we're making from ICT tech we as Nigerians should not leave the farming, we should invest in farming,  this will help reduce the high cost of living we are facing now.

The Government,  will play their part, the citizens we play their part too. We must corporate to survive the hunger in the land.

Technology has brought hope to Nigeria in so many ways, no many people can earn online in foreign currency that us far better than ours, more than you wouldn't believe the amount of Nigeria that are living off airdrop and bounties with crypto currency, so yeah Technology has been good to us, but to take that to another level you have to consider learning some high paying skills like affiliate marketing, programming and ui/ux design, theses skillscan enable you earn up to 5000$ per month is you get to work for a good company, so I believe we can still take more advantage of this opportunity.

When you talk about the bountiful ways of making money, the first thing that always play right in my head is how the world of technology advancement has made it so easy for different people to take hold of the opportunities, no one is letting go of the so called old ways or should I called it fixated ways of our parents in terms of making it in life but the life has grown so much above those ways and Nigeria as a country is at an advantage because of the massive labour market it present with a crowd of over 200 million people, you can easily make or start a service online and you get the attention and patronage you seek.

You have spoken well but you should have added Bitcoin to your post so that it would not be tagged as off topic, though you can still do that now to avoidthe moderator moving your post to off topic. It's true things have changed compare to when we were still kids. I could remember how things were so easy and swift to get but as the years go by, inflation sweeps the value of our currency away and this increasing the cost of living. But this is where Bitcoin comes in, the fact that it's not being pegged to any fiat currency make it outstandingly beautiful. Bitcoin is not being affected by inflation and from the statistics at hand, Bitcoin will keep rising as demand continue to increase. However learning a digital skill is important as the world is getting digitalized and this is another advantage for Bitcoin being digitalized make it an updated version of transactable currency to be used in this jet age. One can also learn any demanding digital skill as a backup, because these days school certificates are not a guarantee that you'll get a job but adding extra skills to your profession or relevant skill might give you a upper hand to be selected among several qualified graduates.

There are several persons out there who have use FX trading/ crypto trading to make good wealth for themselves and these persons are living comfortably well in this economy. Hoping on government and private office works are scarce this days and the probability of getting one is small, learn a digital skill and increase your worth/ value.
