Any suggestions apart from avoiding using it at all?

Thought of using fake details but this could get you banned.

the protection is always need to given from the site that we are trusted otherwise we don't have any choice to protect our identity if they are performing well in their security programs then no one will enter into your identity.

If you are in online there is nothing to hide so you cannot hide your identity very easily especially using the Paypal will always been given the hundred percent verification process before you entry so I cannot do it anywhere.

I'm not sure, but I would say: avoid PayPal.

I used the "stick" for calculations with ebay. My account was blocked on the pretext that I was conducting some kind of fraud. Something I have to confirm. All translations were carried out by me personally, as an individual. Removed more than 500 euros. The account is blocked, the card cannot be untied, the account cannot be closed either. It is not clear what is waiting. Money, quite simply, was stolen. In the brazen. Technical support is also not responding. This whole situation has been dragging on for more than 7 (!) Years.

You can registered paypal without proof your identity, it can be limited for you if verified email and phone only. you can sending and receive fund for small payment. Here you can fund people sell virtual credit card for unlimited your, but it can still risk from baned when seller use ilegal CC for full registered.

First of all if you are using the Paypal you need to provide everything to to pay your transaction so my opinion is it will be difficult to hide your identity from the sites like PayPal and it is also not needed to hide.

For what type of activities do you plan to use Paypal?
If it's crypto/fiat trading just don't mention anything about cryptocurrencies in invoices, disputes or anywhere else inside your paypal account. The other side(buyer or seller) has to do the same.
If you plan to sell something that's not quite legal just don't use paypal.

Yeah so the alternative is to pay in BTC / Monero I guess. Problem is that vendors seem to factor in slippage and as a result prices in BTC / XMR are easily > 5% more.

Unless you use a stealth account,  which I don't recommend as they can and will ban it, you can't.  PayPal by design wants your personal information and acts sort of like an online bank.

What about purchasing of virtual products eg. e-books. U don't need to give PayPal your real address and the seller does not need to know it since he isn't going to physically mail it to you. Just fake it.

On the part of using a card, can you bypass that with virtual credit cards?

As far as i know, paypal is a licenced credit institution... I'm no lawyer, but my best bet would be that faking a name when opening an account would be some sort of fraud... Worst case scenario you could probably end up in jail for faking a name when opening a paypal account...

Best case scenario they'll probably lock your account and demand KYC documents so you can prove you're the person who initially opened the account... Which is impossible since you faked the details.

Don't want to give your real name? Stay away from paypal...

Just my 2 satoshi's.

While using PayPal it is impossible to hide your identity. Your bank card and the account will be connected to the PayPal account. In this it is really impossible to stay anonymous and make transactions. Even if you're providing a fake identity you're supposed to provide each and every data related to that particular identity which is not a possible thing.
