*I read somewhere that Bitcoin 0.6 can export keys using the command line. See http://keepyourassets.net/2011/12/23/1551/
there is also use a tool called pywallet that does it
*to import keys in Electrum: https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/Electrum#Export_and_import_addresses

Hi,

I have a backup with coins in it that I need but rescanning the block chain is taking ages and is going at snails pace right now. Is there a way (alt client maybe?) to recover these coins without having to wait for the entire block chain?
