As a software developer I can tell you that none of the called into the windows API used for encryption can be trusted
and everything from task manager to Netstat is only presenting half the data that is available.

Windows 10 has become a remote terminal for the CIA/NSA, trust windows for nothing apart from copying, encrypting and
uploading anything about you that it finds interesting.

Can you elaborate more on this? Especially the API part.
It's very interesting to me when you said the only data shown in task manager is only "half of the data".

for windows or linux http://winhelp2002.mvps.org/hosts.htm will also reduce the tracking of your computer
sometimes there is simply no way to switch to another OS

Everybody know that we are tracking by Microsoft, FBI and other force. But we can reduce the level of tracking. With with soft we can do it more easily, than doing it manually.
Go to https://github.com/10se1ucgo/DisableWinTracking
http://prntscr.com/j03qc8
But if you  want to keep more safe- INSTALL LINUX.
Ah I remember nullius said in this regards if we are doing nothing wrong there's nothing to hide about, but I do nothing wrong thus I have to hide it.

You know how I reply to those "nothing to hide" people when they say this?

"Well in that case, you won't mind if I show your mother what kind of porn you watch."

Ah I remember nullius said in this regards if we are doing nothing wrong there's nothing to hide about, but I do nothing wrong thus I have to hide it. of course that's a rephrasing in my own understanding, could I also use that in windows 8? perhaps I should try it and edit my post when I discover it myself.

It's not just the tracking, it's the constant updates and the installation of unwanted new features that annoy me. My second machine uses Ubuntu, but the main one uses Windows 10. I've decided to replace the hard drive, and switch this one to Ubuntu Studio. I'll run the project on the tech board as I run a node on it.
Ubuntu is the birth of how simple it is to run a web server AFAIK I'm only using Windows O.S when I am either creating signature or playing some steam games, Jet Cash do you know anything about rubberhose are you utilizing it in your hard drive I would really want to know about that encryption.

However, I tried to help people to reduce the tracking level. You concretized it. Hope somebody will use this information and increase computer skills.

Sorry about that, but you did say use Linux. Smiley
I think, LINUX  and Ubuntu has the same level of security... Maybe I'm not right, but it's my opinion. Don't Judge me)
Parrot Sec O.S will bring more privacy as it is the best IMHO for being persistent in securing and breaking the privacy of someone. you might be talking about the changing the distro repository in which Ubuntu can also run any different distribution regarding Linux system I guess it is possible and can't give a very detailed answer as I'm still practicing Parrot Sec O.S.

why it is only about operating systems. browsers are even more vulnerable to tracking. on browsers, too, should pay attention!
duckduckgo search engine gives you more freedom to search without tracking your behavior online not to mention chasing advertisements are everywhere.

Uninstall Windows 10.
And install any Linux distribution.

Perhaps she would be proud of me when you show all that attractive lady.  Lips sealed

Thanks for sharing however I personally do not know how that works installing a new OS is much more convenient and easy for a few.

I reckon s/he is talking about hidden software/applications that could run deep in someones windows system it could be programmed in batch file as far as I know maybe I'm also wrong that is my idea.

Belated happy birthday 32 I wish your wish come true and definitely we will watch our step.

There is a pretty substantial guide from a year bakc on this issue:

https://www.pcworld.com/article/2971725/windows/how-to-reclaim-your-privacy-in-windows-10-piece-by-piece.html

It is also has to be mentioned, that privacy browser plugins and a secure VPN use would bring even more privacy improvements, than just tweaking Windows 10. And switch to Linux, if you have enough tech skills and can use it for your purposes. Some clean distro is better.

Here I am banging on about people checking their spelling, and I let a fat finger through - sorry about that.

The hard drive exchange is on a notebook, and moving from HDD to SSD will extend the time between battery charging. Also, a clean install will help me to escape from the Windows and other hidden stuff.

You mean Ubuntu Studio?
There a lot of traffic that is going out from your computer. "Little snitch" can show it... But, you are right, at all.
We can use TrueCrypt and VeraCrypt to keep data safe (99%), but the replacing the hard drive doesn't defend you from outgoing traffic from your computer.
