You can easily get your coin added on a ton of shitty coin sites, not like that's a problem -- as you're probably only trying to make a quick couple bucks off a random fork coin that you made. So here is a couple links of sites that you're going to have to follow.

https://www.coinexchange.io/register/
https://poloniex.com/coinRequest
https://exmo.com/en/

You get the idea here, find  some sites on coinmarketcap and it'll work out fine.

Which exchange you want your coin to be listed? Exchanges have different procedures on how they will list a new cryptocurrency. Since you didn't stated what exchange, I'll use Bittrex as an example, if you want to register your coin to them you have to provide the coin name, description, logo, trading symbol, logo, Launch Date, Github link, and other informations about your coin. But providing all of this doesn't mean that your coin will be immediately listed on their site, your coin should have high community demand, innovations to digital currency technology, or a contribution to science or humanity as stated on their website and if you passed their standards then they will list your coin for free.

Most exchanges on their FAQ or support pages have instructions on how to apply for a coin to be listed.
But most exchanges will charge you a few BTC´s to do that depending on your coin code etc.
Other exchanges, besides paid listings, have voting lists (free or paid) where people will cast their votes to have your coin listed.
