If you don't want to see a certain thread, the only way to ignore it is to remove all of your posts in the thread.

- Watchlist (at top left corner) > Edit your watchlist > Check those topics > Remove checked
- Profile > Notifications and Email > Automatically watch topics after replying to them (untick it). It will prevent same annoyance in the future but you should make sure that you want this restriction.
You can click "mark all messages as read" on the left hand side of the page, that will remove the whole page of updated topics but the threads will re-appear once they received new replies.
I think the only way to remove a specific topic from "Updated Topics" (Show new replies to your posts) is to remove your post(s) from those threads.
