There is a "report" button below each post, you just need to click it and to write why do you think it should be moderated (write something like "Low quality post" "Mods: are you sleeping? Still stuck in front of the coffee machine"  Cheesy )
But if you're referring to a thread about a bounty campaign, where people usually post "reserved", then there is nothing to do
I have a question with report button. Does it actually works on reporting a post like the OP has stated? And what could be the sanctions given by the admin for the reported users in the forum? I am new here about the report button so if one could take me to the thread of this report button rulings then I would appreciate it.

Sorry for off topic - I always read users that are stating to report shit posts and still do not know for the results of reporting a user.
Probably the post will get deleted by the mods if we use the report buttons but the punishment for this should be more than the post deletion in my opinion a permaban need to be imposed for the post bursters.

I've never seen this outside of applying for a Sig Campaign.
This is hard to be noticed to be honest,I am also accidentally saw someone doing this so more people will be doing the same in my opinion. But this is really cheating right?!

I will be watching the person for any kind of shady activity again and will comeup with the archieves too.

I remember reporting a user few months back who did the same thing. He'll comment with the message reserve or will add later then edits all the posts in the same day to disguise the post burst.

What I did was reported all of his post to the moderators and all of them were removed immediately. Not sure if he was banned after that though.

Here's his profile page and post history for those who are curious.
Looks like that user was banned since he don't have any recent activity and also no signatures under his profile. For the people who don't trust me you can look at the last post he was made here

If they are doing this in spammy megathreads it's only part of the issue; as the manager should have some standards.

Regardless in a discussion thread there is no reason to do this, you can always jump in at anytime; so "report to moderator" should be fine. The only problem with this being effectively reported is you have to catch and report it before they update it; otherwise they haven't really broken a forum rule. I don't know how the rule is interpreted by Mods/Admin in regards to updating posts in quick succession.

To make sure it is seen, you can use archive.is to capture the moment. I would suggest however when doing that, to wait a couple hours at least or as you say it could be days. This will show the merit of your accusation.

On top of reporting to moderator, send the evidence to the campaign manager. This is where they will feel the most punishment IMO by possible being booted from the campaign and/or not being paid for the week.

One thing I have been doing is going through these threads is reporting any spam within the last week; to prevent them receiving payment. I do that because a lot of the shitposters only post the minimum required so that they can fill the quota on other accounts; or their lazy... maybe both.

Are you for real? You said you have seen people doing this stuff. I didn't ask for an example. I asked whether you have proof of what you are claiming or not. BTW I am against what you are suggesting, now I want to see your proof of users involved in such behaviour. You are sounding like a troll right now.
Its not a troll,I am asking serious suggestion here.I don't have archieves or other proofs now because I actually notices the user after they got paid now I am watching the person next time will come up with proofs. But it is real and happening here.

BTW I gave example to @TP.
Examples would be nice.

Report it to bounties they are part of, I think bounty managers won't appreciate that kind of behaviour as people won't read this "reserved" type posts and probably will miss signature ad too.

unless they're reserving a spot in a campaign or something.  I've never seen anyone do that in a regular thread, and in any case I'm not even sure that's against the rules.

Example : Just imagine @TP needs to complete 50 posts for a week to get paid that week but if you complete all those posts in a day the Darkster_ will probably toss you up for burst posting so you are following some strategy to get paid for that week by posting in one day.

Maybe you are coming online with you mobile and just post a comment about 10 or 15 words in a spam megathread and you are doing like these for 5 days about 10 posts per day with time interval of 30 minutes per post then you came back at last day before the post count day,you are editing all those posts written with one lines from four or five lines so the manager won't toss you for burst posting. But it is definitely cheating tho.Now I want to report @TP but how?

Just an example tho,TP is not doing that and everyone knows that too. Grin

If you got pages archived of before and after they edited, that should be definite proof against them.

I don't know is it against in the forum, but this keep itching in my mind for few days,so I am asking opinion here.

Yeah, same. I haven't encountered these 'high ranked' members doing this kind of stuff. Reporting to the campaign manager should be the first step. This is definitely shady IMO. They shouldn't get paid if you ask me. OP do you have a list of users who are doing this? If you got pages archived of before and after they edited, that should be definite proof against them.

I think you can report them to DT members to tag him with negative trust like "cheater" or you can report it to signature campaign manager with proof.
It's not a trust issue for DT members to deal with.  Sounds like it's a "report to moderator" issue, as mentioned, but it's not really clear to me what's going on.  Examples would be nice.

If someone is in a campaign and is legitimately post bursting, they'll get tossed from the campaign.  I've seen it happen many times.  I'm not sure why someone would write
reserved will add comment later

Its not about bounty threads where people post reserving. Its about the people who want to complete their minimum quota for that week but if they do complete all the posts at one day means they will be removed from that campaign so they are doing reserved post among mega threads and come in the last day just keep filling the posts with minimum characters to get post quota.
Ah i see someone like that when i surf on trading discussion section and he is hero member if i recall it correctly. But, he edited it about 5-8 minutes, so the edited mark doesn't appear.

I think as long as the post is have good quality, then i'm okay with it. Except that people wait other member to comment on that thread and steal or copying the newest post/comment idea and edited his post and make the newest member that post on that thread looks plagiarism his post.

God damn, i'm getting hard to explain it since my english is not good.

Since LeGaulois mention the "report button" there is a guide that you can follow "How to report a post effectively" from here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/guide-reporting-effectively-4519248

I found new kind of post bursting recently from some of the high ranked members, they are just doing comments typing reserved will add comment later or just typing some one lines in the good interval of time period but later they come here and fill with some spam of about 300 characters in one day (the day before payment day on their signature campaign) what kind of action will be taken against them? Permaban? if I can able to provide archieves.
