Researching a quiet crypto company requires a meticulous approach to unveil essential details. Begin by scrutinizing the company's whitepaper, examining its technology, goals, and team. Delve into the project's online presence, analyzing social media, forums, and community discussions for user experiences and sentiments. Assess the transparency of the team, checking their qualifications and past successes. Scrutinize partnerships and collaborations to gauge credibility. Utilize blockchain explorers to trace the token's transactions and distribution.

Examine the project's GitHub repository for code quality, updates, and community contributions. Investigate the company's regulatory compliance and legal standing to ensure legitimacy. Engage with the community to gather insights and assess the responsiveness of the team. Explore media coverage and reviews, seeking unbiased perspectives. Evaluate the roadmap and development milestones for a clear trajectory. Due diligence is paramount in navigating the crypto space, ensuring that even quieter projects align with your investment criteria and adhere to industry standards.

My roomie just got a nice paycheck doing webwork for a company that looks like crypto but I can't find anything about it, seems kinda private/exclusive. Not gonna drop the name for fear of shill-banning, but I really want to do some research on it, just not sure how or where to start, anybody got ideas? I'm more used to new companies drowning me in info than starving me

note not a new coin, seems they do multiple projects or something

Edit: I already emailed them for info and no reply, and my roomie knows or says nothing much so no help there

OP, I understand your point, but informations are gotten every where with a good research spirit, the way I do my thing is that, if I want to get an information about a project, I will go to different sites of enquiry to ask question and before I try one or two sites I might get what I want, as it stands now, I don't think that anyone can directly help you to get this done because you have emphatically said that you wouldn't want to bring the name here because some reasons which I also see as a good one, but one thing is for sure, in this forum there is a board that almost every use to ask question to get contribution from members of this forum and I think with the replies you get their your problem might be solved because many users here has a versed knowledge of cryptocurrency generally so I believe that they will give you what you want if you ask but if you don't want to do it that way you can apply other alternatives.
You're right if you're making a research probably something seems contradicting, all you need to do is to ask questions that's how we proceed. rather than keeping it to yourself I know there are some people in this platform who is very deep in cryptocurrency I believe they can enlighten you the more that's only if you ask questions,I do make research, then after making my research I always ask questions concerning the company if the company is genuine or not before proceeding so that I won't get scammed.

Okay, updaye, maybe someone can help me with some of this, because I am P*SSED!

Not proud but I did the beer thing and got him drunk enough to make him brag. Yes, its a private investors club for his dad's buddies from back in the early NFT boom days and yes they want to lay low and only let ppl in by invitation. But the key thing is the 90% guarantee because (and he ****ing laughed in my face when he told me) he handed them my research on investment safety methods and said it was just something he found online!!! In short Ive been working my butt off for almost a year to put together a protocol of making investment safer (because I am a coward when it comes to investing) and HE JUST TOOK IT FROM MY LAPTOP AND GAVE IT TO THEM. I have no idea if they made the last pieces of it work but I am steaming. He admits that it is how he got the job doing the coding for them.

What would any of you do in this situation? I am going to try to find some contact info on them and prove that it is my work and maybe get some compensation but I never had someone steal from me like this before so any ideas are welcome. I am also thinking about selling his stupid collectibles on ebay just to punish him.

sorry for negativity. I am just so angry

Try to search LinkedIn for their employees since most of the crypto professionals update their profiles there regularly for their portfolio. Try to start your research through their employee until you can find something related to what you are searching.

It’s very hard to do a research on the web since most of the crypto companies post very limited info online. Your best shot is to look for their employees profile and hoping that they post something related to their company. What’s the purpose of this research exactly?

If the company is relatively private, try looking for any public announcements, press releases, or official social media accounts associated with it. Also, explore forums or communities related to web development, crypto, or tech to see if there's any discussion or information shared by others who might have encountered the company.

Your roomie should be one of the top intellectual and knows whenamd how to settle prob[. Anything of doubts created within the circle of investors and traders, I actually try my best to decline my plans because when my account will liquidated, I remembered all my heavy losses recorded, which I've said to myself never to come back to the market except for school. Any news you find to be funny, just ensure you take thorough time to passed through most of these projects before thinking of the next step which is movment.

There are a lot of scammers in the crypto industry now, and with the growing number of altcoins, with their new networks, there are more and more projects. Indeed, choosing something suitable, without deception, is very difficult. If you don't have a trusting relationship with the developers of the project you choose, you are unlikely to be able to identify a one hundred percent good project.

I don’t see anything wrong if you write the name of the project, because the text is somehow not supplemented. If you have doubts or interest in your neighbor's activities in connection with cryptocurrency or related projects, it is important to approach the research with caution and caution, because you could harm the same neighbor with your actions or even quarrel. Cryptocurrency is, first of all, decentralization, maybe he told you this in secret) But still, this topic is a little unclear to me... what is the purpose of your research? Simple interest or something else?

I have just read the entire thread and without dragging it any further I would suggest you to let this go take a pause and probably find an alternative and help others unlike your creepy roomie. This does smells like an scam and moreover the secretive nature of your roomie is further complicating things. Better to stay away from such projects because most of the scam projects starts the same way s they don't scam people rather they shed some money to gain more traction. Just get rid off this.

Well companies like this would be hard to find especially it seems like they do not want to be find most likely it is the company who seek out their employees instead of the other way around

This forum is a pretty nice place to start since companies who do not put out advertisements would be hard to find anywhere else also i find that this forum shares some of the most unique and timely information

Aside from this forum if you know people in the inside of the company then that is probably how you would get in and find others as well remember finding one will lead you to a series of webs

Lol he just threw a fit that I was looking into it. Yeah its a very early project and very very private between some of his daddys bigshot NFT buddies, invitation only stuff. Dunno maybe I can find out more now Im goddamn curious!
Also, consider that maybe they are using different company names on the internet. Or they intended not to put anything related to them like they don't need to do any advertisement anymore because they can easily get clients anywhere.
Yeah its a club basically for those rich NFT guys. No room for little farts like me sadly. What really ticks me is I think the pr*ck gave my research in investment safety models to them because that 90% thing looks ripped right out of my stuff. and now hes probably making bank off it or something. Hate this guy

what is the company. what is the name of the coin. or just a website with a ponzy system. if the website with the ponzy system is clearly different. only utilizing coins as a means of payment. so it's not a crypto company or project. talking about what business is in the field so don't mention the name that you might be afraid if you mention the name.

Thats my roomie's web business, but thanks for the tips. He speaks english on the phone so they are prob not danish vut that doesnt narrow it down much
I feel like an industrial spy lol

So that website is from your roomie's web business and you said your roomie is doing a web setup so what I think is that he was paid for setting up this website but he doesn't own it? Am I right?

Meaning your roomie got paid by deploying and designing the website but the site is not finished yet because it doesn't have much info about what their business is.
Why not invite him to drink some beer and maybe he would tell you how he got paid by this company and ask him what company it is.
I think he just got this client from Fiverr or Upwork and got paid.

The website isn't legit from my view because it's still very tender, so I wouldn't advise anyone to do anything with such a fresh business or investment.
-cut-
Everything from what that sites says points out to obvious scam. Not revealing anything specific, but promising safe investment should be an obvious sign of 100% scam. I've seen many scams during my time in here, and most of them are easy to spot even when they are trying hard not to look like one. This site isn't even trying hard.

I could point out obvious reasons, and i am not sure how you even found them. Your roomie is aiding and abetting a scam if he/she works for them. And no offense to your roomie, but that bad site quality your roomie probably helped to build is a one giveaway of that scam.

From my little observation, I don't see this as what you are playing it to be. Though you said you were kicked out of another forum, it still doesn't justify that you're legit or that your intentions are to seek knowledge, but you are probably still shilling in a polite manner or with a little bit of a convincing approach.
I suppose I am not the only one seeing this from this perspective because, from your first post in this forum, you were probably promoting another site too.

If your roomie can't disclose the details then who are we to guess with such little information that you've provided? I guess that you need to talk seriously to that guy to tell you what he's been doing and how he got accepted. But since you've got the idea already, that's good.

Sorry if I didnt make that clear enough. I know its some kind of investment, from their website, and it looks like crypto which is why I went here to do research. But yes I am trying to figure out what kind of company he is doing the web stuff for because maybe I want to put money in them because I know they at least pay him well. But hes not helping me at all so.....
Maybe some interest accounts or launch pad just like what's with Binance. Just ask more details to that guy directly so that you'll get to know what actually it is but then, you have the idea already so it's a case close, right?

Yeah, seems my paranoia from other forums just carried over. Its brassmint
So you mean brassmint.com was created by your roomie and he got the money for it and now you want to know what the company he created the website for does? I thought your roomie got paid for another job by the company behind Brassmint and now you want to know what they do so you can get an idea of what your roomie got paid for.

By using this keyword "brassmint" it brought me here brassmint.com it does not have much information but talks about investment tools and digital/virtual money.
I can't seem to find much more info about this project I tried to check their backlinks but no results except for two sites where it links but those two links are domain tools.

I also checked the domain it is a 1-year-old site I can't gather more info about this site if what exactly this.
Are you sure that your roomie got a paycheck from that site? It maybe lie?
Yeah I get nothing too. My roomie is doing the web setup for them and just started so maybe they are just very new, maybe its too early? The check (or cheque sorry spelling) is legit and pays for things here so at least they pay him right. About double usual pay but I hear crypto companies often do that to attract the right people quick. Not sure if tge dead ends are making me angry or curious lol
As BitMaxz already pointed out, brassmint.com seems to be the closest information you can find via Google. When you assume this is indead the company you are looking for you can do a whois request of the domain via https://www.whois.com/whois/brassmint.com . It states that the registrar is a German company and registrant's country is Denmark (DK). With this information you can continue your research.

The easiest way to know the project is to know the name of the project so that you can search it in the internet and other cryptocurrency listed websites but if you are looking for the company or the project with the name then you are making a vain research. And at the end nothing would come out. I think there would be no harm in dropping the name so that people would find out if the project is legit or not.

Nobody will ban you for dropping the name. You are not promoting a ban project or a scam project but you just want to know about the site.

If I were you I'd drop the name and wait for opinions.
Totally agree, just know that I might get kicked for shilling (another forum did it to me). Not trying to keep anything secret, promise. Pretty sure the company or at least investment project is called brassmint, but the website is very sparse and I think its a thing between multiple companies or something. as you can hear, I am not a veteran in this, just saw his paycheck and thought I'd look into it.

Hope no ban hammer for dropping the name....

I understand your point but in my crypto journey I always used this forum as main source of informations : beside being  frequented by users with a truly remarkable wealth of knowledge,  it is mostly unmoderated you will be able to read  lot of unbiased opinions on what you are searching for. Mocy more reliable than reading company's site itself of reviews that most of the time are paid/fake.
