Are the ex devs willing to just hand over their code, if you happen to know?

Or do they usually sell it or something?

No idea actually completely clueless on how to approach this!!

If it isnt open sourced, u can try to request the code from the ex devs  and if its open source u can just proceed on urself

you need to employ an excellent marketing team and possibly change the ideal behind the coin..

That is not much of an issue for me.

I am from marketing background with 7 years exp Smiley

I am more interested in creating a kickass project.

If the code is open source, you can copy the code directly.
Then a little modification, it is your own token, which is what many tokens do now.

The thing is I don't want to make my own token.. just proceed from where the previous author left.. make a new website etc.
But want to keep everything as it is... cause I'll need to reapply to exchanges and all.

I've seen this happen with few coins and recently with photon... new devs took over from where the previous one abandoned.

Forked it not really going to help i guess, cause do the project it self interesting or not, on what purpose that coin create, and what benefit we can get if use that coin. So if the coin is just dead with no special feature you cant revive it.

Lets say a coin is dead but I want to takeover that project further.
