metamask is an excellent wallet, very maleable where you can add other blockchains in addition to that of eth, such as the very useful one of bsc but also the brand new xdai for example, you can switch between the various blockchains very easily in a second, i think it is the only wallet that allows you to do such a thing
That's right, functionally Metamask is a multifunctional wallet so that everyone can run all different networks in one application just by changing the network model we want so this can make it very easy for every Metamask user in terms of accessing different wallets at the same time.

After the bounty campaigns, the UniteGrowd project team obliged the ethereum wallets, which were previously provided by bounty hunters, to first link to MetaMask, and then to their website, after registering there.
I downloaded the MetaMask application, then imported my ethereum wallet into it by entering the secret key and then linked it on the UniteGrowd website.
It turns out that this wallet was not connected to the BSC network? This thread indicates how this is done, including through the Chrome browser. I followed the link, but there it works on the computer. I work from a tablet on an android. Therefore, I went into this ether wallet of the MetaMask application, clicked settings, then network and filled in the new BSC Mainnet in the table. However, in the RPC URL graph, it does not accept https: // bsc-dataseed1. binance. org /, as well as with a variant instead of 1 by 2.
Where did I go wrong?
That's the official URL I got on the website I learned about BSC, so it's a very common thing and can't be changed by others, and if you run into that kind of problem, try using a VPN first and re-do it accordingly. the way I have given on the first page.
I also follow the Unitedcrowd campaign and have no problems connecting with metamask, and one more thing you have to understand is that between the Ethereum network and the BSC, the path is different so you need to swap your mainnet wallet when you want to access your wallet on the BSC.

Note: for Indonesian citizens, you must use a VPN to complete the job.

Good luck for those who haven't done it.

What kind of sorcery is this? Why do indonesians need VPN to use metamask or BSC?
Seriously, what info am i missing? Some country ban or what?
This is not prohibited in other countries, only in Indonesia, but the VPN is only for the BSC network not for Metamask, because those who use Metamask on other networks do not have to use VPN, so this is not magic, only in the form of additional knowledge.

I think after such machinations with the networks in the metamask wallet, my tokens will be lost and I will never see them again. It's scary to experiment, to be honest. On the other hand I don't want to pay a huge commission for the transfer
This is for the sake of lower costs and also for the sake of being able to run your Ethereum wallet on the BSC network, so nothing will be lost because our wallet can run on different networks, please understand before saying anything weird Grin Cheesy

The information contained in this post is very useful especially in this period when binance smart chain is being used by several new projects. Please I'll like to know if a bsc token sent to ethereum wallet can be accessible after using this steps.

It's important to know this, there are many farming sites on Ethereum that you can use Binance chain to deposit and invest and there's also gambling sites that allow you to withdraw your Ethereum earnings on Binance chain, you can save huge fees if you know how to add and utilize Binance chain, this thread is a big help for newbies.

Binance.com already blocked in Indonesia
As an exchange Binance.com is not yet registered with the Badan Pengawas Berjangka Komoditi (Commodity Futures Supervisory Agency).

Thanks for the tutorial video about adding Binance smart chain plafrorm into Metamask wallet. Before seen this tutorial video I don't know anything about ERC 20 based plafrorm to add Binance smart chain plafrorm. But now I can easily understand all the process.

Thank you for the tutorial. This tutorial is very useful for BSC users, maybe rarely use Metamask to make Binance Smart Chain transactions.
It would be nice if it is equipped with Add custom BSC tokens because BSC tokens do not appear immediately without us using the Add custom method.
Thank you also for this excellent input, but for the Add Custom BSC token it looks like it will be very easy to do too, that is, just by pressing the Add menu in the wallet then pasting the particular smartcontrac token into the available column, so that the name of the token will immediately be detected correctly.

Indonesian can use this address for RPC URL:
https://bsc-dataseed1.ninicoin.io
Is it correct?
For a site that you say I have never tried it, if indeed the site is simpler to use and can help BSC users, then it never hurts to try.

That helps a lot. This actually not for the newbie but also those who are not, BSC is quite new so it possible that not all of us are aware of this.
Why have to use VPN? Will that restriction has sometimes applied to other countries?

Binance Smart chain belongs to Binance so let's get started with Binance Academy and some guides

How to Get Started with Binance Smart Chain (BSC)
Connecting MetaMask to Binance Smart Chain
Some people will confuse with same addresses for ERC-20 and BSC chains. Those articles can help them understand it better and be able to set up Metamask for their browser to use BSC.
And this one also.
Most probably some users are using Binance exchange to access their BSC wallet address and this guide, it made easier for them to understand.

Yes, Binance is blocked by Indonesian IP, and everything related to Binance cannot be accessed. Including Binance Chain, BSC. If we use Binance for trading, then we can use the android version, the web version cannot be accessed.

but I have a question why they need to use vpn before completing this tutorial anyway dude?
are they can't able to access it or what?
Yes, those who live in Indonesia will not be able to access it if they don't use a VPN on their device, this is only for those who live in Indonesia, not for all countries, and I have previously answered about this in several sections in this topic.

Thank you for the information. Many things have changed since my hiatus, sigh. I need to adapt more to this kind of new thing. Even I was shocked when I need to use VPN to open Binance from my country lol. For those who can absorb information easily, all of this BEP20 thingy would help so much regarding the ethereum disadvantage currently, lower fees and etc but remember, BSC is centralized, will we count on it forever?. I hope all of the issues will be solved ASAP.
If you don't live in Indonesia, you don't need to use a VPN on your device when accessing the BSC network, the matter of whether we will rely on this forever, it depends on our needs and conditions in the crypto space, I share these tips only for those who haven't know about it and also often have problems with Gas costs on the Ethereum network, so they can use this method to save gas costs even though the network is different, but currently there are several new projects that use this BSC network, LOL.

If you are still confused about running an Ethereum wallet on the Binance Smart Chain, you can use the following method without having to replace your Ethereum wallet or create another wallet via the Trustwallet Application

1. Install the metamask application on the browser you are using (Mozilla Firefox and Chrome): https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/metamask/nkbihfbeogaeaoehlefnkodbefgpgknn : Chrome
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ether-metamask/ : Mozilla Firefox

2. Import the Ethereum wallet that you have used so far into metamask

3. Add BSC mainnet via Custom RPC in metamask.

Then choose this

Next, fill in all the data below into the available column
Network Name: BSC Mainnet
New RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed1.binance.org/ or https://bsc-dataseed2.binance.org/
ChainID: 56, or 0x38 if 56 doesn’t work
Symbol: BNB
Block Explorer URL: https://bscscan.com/

If all data has been filled in correctly, click save

Note: for Indonesian citizens, you must use a VPN to complete the job.

Good luck for those who haven't done it.

We'll wait for those new learnings that you'll share after those experienced people have shared the answers with you. Keep it up mate, you're doing a great job on this.
And you keep making if there are other updates for the same wallet or any update about this topic.
Thank you for this extraordinary response because I am a person who likes to share new knowledge even though some people already know it beforehand.
No problem. You just pursue what you're doing and we're going to learn from it as you share it.

Vey helpful indeed, if there are more updates kindly share it here.

This thread is very beneficial especially for those people who are not tied to this kind of information, it's adding knowledge and
enhancing your chances  when you need to work with this two well known chain that's very common for most token holders.
Keep it Up!
Just like me before when a situation someone is dealing with for this kind of information, they usually go to google and there's a chance it will appear and will be directed on this thread.

Why have to use VPN? Will that restriction has sometimes applied to other countries?
VPN is only used temporarily for those who live in Indonesia, but it probably won't apply to other countries, and I personally also don't know the extent of this limitation.
I don't know if other countries will also restrict their citizens from accessing binance exchange even without permission. But let me explain a little about why Indonesian users should use vpn to access binance.

The main reason Binance can't be accessed without a VPN in Indonesian jurisdiction is because Binance does not have a license from the Indonesian government to run a trading broker. Binance does not have an office in Indonesia and they are also not registered with the Commodity Futures Trading Agency (Bappepti) which is under the Auspice of the Minister of Finance Repulik Indonesia. Even though Binance already has regulation outside the jurisdiction of Indonesia, the government still requires them to have a business license from Bappepti. Without permission, the government would block domain Binance and other futures trading broker so Indonesian couldn't use them without the help of a VPN. But Indonesian trader and investor can still use the binance exchange application on the playstore and so far in my opinion it has not been blocked.

OP, although I haven't used the BSC at this time but this guide is necessary for all those who don't know how it works and I think there is no rating limit for it. Apart from that, Binance Academy has also made it easy for those who are still confused about how to use it properly.

For other wallets, I have never tried it myself except through the Trustwallet application on a smartphone that I have used before.
That's fine, let's just wait and maybe someone will finally come and give that idea that it's also working for other wallets that supports these two chains.

Thanks for the tutorial! this is very useful for me. So far, I have only used Trust wallet to use the Binance Smart Chain wallet. Because I'm still confused about using it with Metamask.
Same, I also use the Trustwallet application on my device to be able to use a wallet that runs on the Binance Smart Chain, but with a very simple tutorial like this, I have been able to delete the Trustwallet application that I used before to save more space on my device's memory. because the tutorial provided by the OP is quite run on the browser that we use everyday, so obviously this is very helpful for everyone, and thank you for the OP who has wanted to share new knowledge here.

so when I want to send my ETH from the BSC network, will it still be sent?
or will my ETH automatically convert to the BSC network? so that later I will send my ETH in the form of BETH coins?
sorry before, I haven't tried it for using metamask on the BSC network. this thread helped me a lot.
For sending ETH from the BSC network I have never tried it, but you have to understand first and sort it out because one wallet can be on several networks via Metamask, so if you want to send something, make sure the token is on what network first, so that it can be easier upon delivery.

you cannot send ETH on BSC network, you can send BETH for example
regarding fees, that are paid in BNB on BSC network, so that could be an issue that people are facing when trying to send something on BSC

ETH is ETHER currency on Ethereum blockchain, on Binance Smart Chain is some other wrapped issuance of ETH, as far as i know there are BETH and renETH, maybe there are some others, keep in mind that metamask is multi-network wallet, and you can connect to BSC or Ethereum network, which will show your balance on respective chain
The explanation is very complete, and in my previous comment I only give an answer that ETH can be sent to another ETH address by replacing the BSC network to ETH via Metamask, and maybe because my explanation is still incomplete so it is still difficult to understand what I explained that. Have a nice day Bro.
