In my view. Do not save money, use money to make more money.
Simple - buy cheap spare parts by yourself via Ebay and bring them to your service company. Change your service company to smaller one, which accept this and pay only service jobs. 
Today you can easily find low cost automobile parts so changing the auto shop is the best thing and look into the internet and do a search you might find best places
Instead of going to a dealership, look for a reputable auto shop. Asking for help from a buddy who is mechanically inclined can help you save some cash also. Good thing I have a mechanic friend. I just bought uniroyal tires and he helped me install them.
