The best ways to secure your account are as follows;
- Never share your passwords, private keys, and other personal data with anyone, except it is someone you really trust
- Make sure that the 2factor authenticated is activated on all of your accounts.
- Make use of hardwallets if you can
- Desist from permitting or clicking on untrusted ads and sites.

Account security is probably one of the important things that we need to consider for working with this forum, especially on exchanges, where we have a small amount of funds. Yet now it is very difficult with security.

It's easier. Keep your passwords in safe places and write them down on paper. Only in this way your funds will be protected as much as possible.

Anchoring you wallet appropriately ought to be at the highest point of your need list with regards to being a crypto financial specialist. Secure all your delicate data identifying with your wallet in a place where you realize that no programmers can get to them. Particularly your private keys in light of the fact that that is the most essential thing with regards to your wallet. You should make it a point to compose a move down on a paper and secure it.

I use few secrets to secure accounts. First of all, you should have hard password, and it will be better if you will generate it on special sites. Moreover, do not say about accounts with with other people who are interested in your profit at all. And use only checked platforms.

How to secure your account!
SECURITY NOTICE ON BITCH - Bitfinex

Currently, Twitter frauds are occurring on the SECURITY level. Everyone should note that the trading floors, namely Bitfinex, do not have any gift programs or ask for money back from the user. So be cautious when meeting the above information and carefully investigate before giving money to any organization.

Note:
- The only Bitfinex account on Twitter is Bitfinex
- The official account will have a blue checkmark next to it
- Make sure the username and username match the official account
- Be wary and prudent when interacting with any advertising account that gives you gifts or calls for contributions or income guarantees.

In my own opinion, you can always secure your account depending on what kind of wallet you are placing your cryptocurrency and it depends on the market how good is their security so you should choose a market or exchanger that has a good reputation in the industry.

Well, there is too much fraud in the crypto community. Not just Bitfinex, but there exists a phishing idex site, which is an exact replica of the real one. It used to be promoted by Google adsense and many people had put their private keys in. Be careful guys!
Yes, I do believe only in cold offline wallets like ledger, and I suppose that on 90% of exchanges your money could be stolen, so be careful and use only meta mask.

Well even if the exchange where you store your money is actually secure, it's not really in your control as to what would happen to it. Until you transfer it to your own wallet, the exchange has control over it. Invest in a good hard wallet, thst's the best amd most secure way of storing your coins

in my mind, Securing your software wallet is similar to protecting any data on your computer. Keep all your sensitive information related to your wallet in a place where you know that no hackers can get it. Especially you're personal key because that's the most important thing when it comes to your wallet. You must make a point to write back on paper and also have to protect it.

In order to secure your account, you should do create backups. Kept in a secure place, a backup of your cryptocurrency wallet may save you from hardware failures and a lot of human slipups. It will also let you restore your wallet in case your PC or telephone gets stolen.

I usually protect my account as follows:
+ Use hard-to-guess passwords, large characters, and special characters.
+ Do not use personal information in non-trusting projects
+ Keep your computer and software protected ( up to date)
  + No public internet access
/ ...

If anyone has a good way, suggest sharing for everyone to use!
But for me i do believe to use the hardware wallet to make my amount safely from the hackers. Never try to clicking any suspicious link because there is a possibility it can redirect us to the scammer's site or downloar the file that contains malware. We need to be careful with our amount.

It's not only with bitfinex but there are also famous crypto celebrities that are victims of this.

These scammers are imitating not exactly the names of these celebrities but they are putting some extra characters on their twitter names to make it look like.

If you are someone that's too greedy and read these announcements of giveaways and the only requirement to be eligible is to send them some ETH first, don't believe in such giveaways.

And another one, if someone asks your private keys, exchange accounts don't ever give them any information.

Always use a Google Authenticator and download the MetaCert browser extension to avoid getting phished.
Google authenticator does not guarantee 100% of your security. You can use the 2Fa key to further enhance your security. This will make it much more difficult for a hacker to work with your account.

Consider keeping big cryptocurrency sums in cold wallets - a technology of keeping Bitcoins offline on hard drives or even paper - off the Internet, so hackers will not be able to reach your funds.  On the contrary, the hot wallet is linked to the Internet. It should be used for everyday transactions and is like a checking account, whereas cold wallet may represent your savings account.

I agree with you. 2fa is easily the best way to secure your accounts. So many people underestimate how vital 2fa truly is and end up losing their hard earned money just because they were too lazy to secure their accounts using 2fa. I have personally been attacked by hackers in the past, but they could not rob a single penny from me since my accounts were secured using 2 factor authentication. Apart from this, I also advise keeping your private keys safe and do not download softwares(wallets) which you don't know particularly well since majority of these softwares contain viruses(keyloggers).

USE A STRONG PASSWORD

Any password that contains only letters or recognizable words can be considered very weak and easy to break. A strong password must contain letters, numbers, punctuation marks and must be at least 16 characters long. The most secure passwords are those generated by programs designed specifically for that purpose. Strong passwords are usually harder to remember, so you should take care in memorizing it.

no matter how long that you make an password or no matter how difficult it is to guess, if are not be careful by clicking any sites or links that someone's give, they have a chance to hack your account. And also be careful on the information that you give because there's possibility your account may be hack.

First, encrypting the wallet or your hole device enables you to create a password for those attempting to take out any money. Second, prior to creating an account on any exchange, set up a new email box that you will be using for that specific exchange account.

Securing your software wallet is similar to protecting any data on your computer. You have to be a little more paranoid while browsing the Internet, clicking on links and email attachments. It is important to select an exchange that is not only flexible and easy to use but also reputable and secure. Try to follow the news. If industry leaders disengage from a project it should be a worrying signal. Repeated technical problems and strange policies are additional points of concern.

I think you can set a password which should be 20 characters or longer. That’s because a hacker has to guess at 20 characters which is more than twice as long as the first password’s 8. The longer the password, the harder it is for a computer to discover it.

Honestly, Public WiFi networks in hotels, coffee shops, airports, and stores are an easy target for hackers. Those networks provide a window to your private online data. Therefore, if you want to access your cryptocurrency accounts on a public network, using a Virtual Private Network (VPN) such as ExpressVPN or TunnelBear will prevent your information from being intercepted. A VPN will also hide your identity, location, and IP address which identifies your device.

I think one of the best way to reduce risks is that all of your accounts should be set up from a private email address that has never been exposed

the account in blockchain is secure and for me it is good to create an account with a strong password then it is good to secure your account and now the twitter accounts are very strong and the blue check mark show the account validity. So if you create a strong password for it then it is good to use your account with strong password and when the password is not strong then the hackers can easily hack your accounts.

If people pay attention and invest in security they should be fine. Investment is not so big and it is a must.
It is just a small portion of holders investment.

Before revealing any information over the internet , everyone should ask them-self, does it really necessarily?
I remember a lot of people that just revealed their login info to a big site/exchange because they believed that the owners really contacted them and wanted to give them a reward.
Think for a moment, if you are really talking to the owners, do you really think that he needs your password and username in order to have an access to your account? He can do that with or  without your permission, and he logs in through the admin panel and not through your login ID.

If someone wants to give you something without any reason, you should start checking around for what he is trying to achieve. there are no free gifts over the internet from people that you don't even know.
