Better look up addresses one by one or import the extended pupbic key into Electrum and create a watching-only wallet to monitor your transactions and balance.
I don't see a big difference between entering your master public key on a block explorer and creating a watch-only wallet with your master public key on electrum, unless you run your own server on electrum.
If you don't run your own server on electrum, you have to connect to a server and your privacy is still compromised.

Which block explorers support this feature? I tryed the most known ones (mempool, blockchain, blockchain..) and didn't get any result!
Even if this was possible, I wouldn't recommend doing it for privacy reasons. Better look up addresses one by one or import the extended pupbic key into Electrum and create a watching-only wallet to monitor your transactions and balance.
you can try this link https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/assets/btc/xpub/
I remember that some balance tracking services (CoinStats) provide this feature where you can add it and create a notification for all your coins (not just bitcoin)
I agree with you on the privacy part, but if you don't know how to run a full node through Tor, then your privacy is questionable, even if you use Electrum

you can use an extended master public key where you can get on the wallet tab on top then > information > zpub....ynC6tNzW5t5fR7tuZrS... then paste it on bitcoin explorer.

If I'm looking at the nice History tab with all transactions - to top line of the rightmost column, named "Balance", is how much BTC I have in my wallet.  Also, down at the bottom in the "status bar" there's my BTC balance too (and conversion to fiat).

But it's misleading.  Though called "Balance" it is not my balance at all as it is missing amounts in change addresses.

How do I get it to be the true actual balance of my wallet?
The balance in the receiving and change address is your asset, and the amount of balance information is shown at the bottom left of the wallet window.
You can use all the existing balances at the receiving or changed address.

Receiving addresses are the ones you hand out to people who want to send you money. It is best to get a receive address from the receive tab. You can also set a label there and save it so that when you receive money to that address the label shows up on the history tab.

Change addresses are used internally by electrum to send change back to your wallet. You could still give out a change address and receive bitcoin but it's better to just go with the flow and use receive addresses instead.

Meanwhile, if you are uncomfortable using the receiving address, you can disable it in the Preferences of Electrum; uncheck the Use change addresses option on the Transactions tab.

Yep,  misunderstanding on my part between "transactions" here and "addresses" on the other tab, thanks!
I don't fully understand what you mean by "transactions" but you should be careful about about the USD value because in the history tab, the USD Value is the value of the transaction despite being near the wallet Balance in BTC and away from the BTC Amount of the transaction(you can deplace the column but it will come back to its initial position at the next start).
In addition, in the Addresses tab, the USD Balance is not the total balance in USD of your wallet, but the "balance" of the address actually.
So it can be a little bit confusing.

  • Is there a way to easily add up all the BTC in change addresses (I know I can see them over on the Addresses tab but can't add them up, even by multi-selecting all of them).
You can multi-select them all by utilizing SHIFT or CTRL and then right-click to select "Spend from".
The total will be displayed below in the "Coin control" bar highlighted in green.
Tip: In the 'Addresses' tab, click the "Balance" row to easily sort out the addresses with balance.

Click "Reset" after taking note of your balance.

If there's a mismatch and you don't have any channels open, I'd suggest you to report this to Electrum's GutHub repository: https://github.com/spesmilo/electrum/issues

The balance shown in that column is the total balance of your wallet after the transaction and it includes your change addresses as well. The balance displayed at bottom of the window is also correct.
You probably made a mistake in your calculations.

[Electrum 4.3.4, but of course this applies to earlier versions too.]

If there's no such way now, then

  • I strongly suggest there be such a way
