Quite a few people i know, including myself use coinbase.com which I highly recommend. It was very simple to set up an account. You will have to link your bank account and have it verified by coinbase. Should take no more then a day or two, if i remember correctly. This is a massive company and I believe it to be one of the most trusted bitcoin companys in the world. Once your account is linked to you bank account, you can buy and sell bitcoin as you please with a $5,000 daily limit.

For trading I prefer bittrex, but if you want to change you coins into fiat you can use kraken, but be aware that their website is very slow most of the time.

The easiest way to sell crypto - turn it into btc at exchanges and then sell btc for usd or else fiat money using exchanger like localbitcoins or else.

If no one wanted to by your coin - then you can't sell it. It's pretty simple. Case in point - would you buy Venezuelan dollar? If no one wants to buy at the listed price then the value drops to the point where people are willing to buy. If no one wants it then you're SOL.

The reverse holds true when everyone wants to own something. Take a look at BTC over the last few weeks.

You need to sell on exchange and you will be able to sell it, but the price can differ
Please try to buy and sell with a small amount so you can get familiar with it

You will have to exchange these altcoins for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin or whatever other coin that have fiat ticker and then to USD.
