You must trust to Bitstamp some amount of BTC, then you'll be able to deposit BTC (as BTC IOU's) in Ripple interior market.

None of that makes sense since you need XRP to trust. Without trust those instructions don't apply, and you can't do anything.

Doesn't seem to work right now. No "Buy BTC" link/button to click on (step 4 in the guide).

I don't think that is operational yet. In fact, Ripple seems more in Alpha than Beta as they claim. I have a few satoshis to my name and would love to try out ripples.

is is somehow possible to transfer bitcoins directly from my wallet to my ripple account
or do i need to make an account at a gateway like bitstamp and sent my coins from bitstam to riplle ?
