Here we go, something that may or may not work (with some shameless self promotion )

Pretty sure it will, if not let me know where get stuck or what fails. I have a number of working pools at http://www.in-brisbane.com

I have about half-written the guide for how to create a setup a MPOS server.

https://github.com/TheSerapher/php-mpos/wiki/Quick-Start-Guide

It works up to connecting to the MPOS with stratum to mine. It's broken at that point, still can't figure out how to get it to work.

But yeah, don't expect anybody here to divulge knowledge. I've been asking for months to have someone who knows how to help me out with getting the last bit to work. It's money and they don't want to let it go.

Hello, I'm going to set up a pool for mining scrypt based coins.
Want to start with pool for one coin and add more pools later.
I have a PC that is 24h online and the 100Mbit unlimited internet.
I have experience with Ubuntu linux, know how to set up web servers, virtual hosts, etc..

Please help me. Any feedback from persons who have experience in setting up mining pools will be appreciated!
Also links to manuals and guides will be appreciated too.
I think this topic will be usefull for persons who are going to set up a mining pool.

My questions:
1) What software should I use on the pool (frontend and backend)?
I want to use MPOS https://github.com/TheSerapher/php-mpos as frontend because it is widely used.
What other software is required?
What about backend?

2) I there possibility to have pools for several coins on the same server?
I suppose that every pool will be on separate sub-domain e.g. coin1.mydomain.com,  coin2.mydomain.com ...

3) Any thoughts about security?
What are basic rules to protect minig pool?

4) Please post here links to guides and HowTOs where is explained how to set up a pool. I see there is not much info about this in the internet.

Thank you!
