Best to run it that way. The minimal fee you would pay in the off chance you find a block is easily offset by the better performance of the pool that would offset by several factor the fee% you'd have to pay against the statistical chance that you get your block orphaned when you find it.
TLDR: You have better chances at solo.ck pool than if you set up mining on your own node.
