BRAVO!! There are plenty of noobs out there who are trustworthy and want (and can with good help) build amazing things. It is up to the experienced veteran players to moderate and mentor so as to filter the cream from the krum.

1) Never before heard of campaign managers.
2) Aren't willing to escrow funds
3) Long payment periods
4) No proof of funds

The more things you cross of this list, the more likely it is that the campaign is a scam.

To be honest Sir, there is no way for you to know if its a scam. In my opinion, some ICO's are legit but they are unable to sell the hard cap so it ended up being a scam. Trusted managers will not help if the ICO will not send tokens. What I have done is to keep on joining ICO's until I reach an ICO who will send me their token and wait for the alt to have its value on the trade.

I prefer trusted managers because they are organized and easy to talked with. Try Sylon, BlockEye, iwantpony, dafar and my signature right now momopi.

Most scam signature bounty hardly have white paper and spreadsheet. the quality of the team members also matters a lot too

Campaign payment rates looks to good to be true and they aren't using escrow. If they didn't hired trusted campaign manager and manage campaign themselves, it looks even more suspicious.
If we talk about ICO signature campaigns, especially these which are paying in tokens, I think it's more difficult spot scam campaign. It's like to choose good ICO to invest - before joining campaign you need to investigate project, their whitepaper, roadmap, team and etc and only after that, when you are sure that project legit, then you can join it.
