Blazing righteous Voodoo coin skills there and 1000 posts dead on, cant be wrong Cheesy

Try going for a zombie coin thats listed on an exchange somewhere, theres so many now it must be possible to cpu mine one of them.  I havent looked, you want a long list of difficulty for each coin then narrow it down.

Its not impossible to revive some coin that had a useful feature of some kind ?

I cpu mine fairquarks on a laptop, get plenty but Im not sure how popular it is.  Some coins are designed to be CPU only, in case you didnt realise this and if you join a pool your'll get some for sure.

Here is a list, Novacoin is sub zero as are a few ?  No idea

It depends on how "dead" the coin is.

You will want a copy of the blockchain at least as far as the last checkpoint that was made. If you want you mined coins to have a chance of being valid

If the coin is really that dead and no block source can be found, You can removed the checkpoints from the source and start your own new chain. But it will likely never be vaild. Unless the original chain never had a checkpoint and your chain becomes longer eventually. Again very unlikely

Your best bet it to poke around the forums and ask some previous supporters if they have a copy of the blockchain to share with you

As of right now you likely cannot mine because there is a checkpoint in the source higher than the block you have downloaded. It wont let you mine because it knows your not up to date yet

Ypu should try with Fairbrix, Tenebrix or GeistGeld. These are sort of zombie coins. Launched in 2011.

Ok, so I am trying to start mining a dead coin because I can and I was wondering how do I get it working? I have 2 computers running different ip's. What do i put in the conf? btw the rpc port is 990012

I think you have to set one to setgenerate true, but i might be wrong
