I have tried this method before with freebitco.in, my computer was freezed as i have not enough RAM. My computer was heat up in just five minutes.
I immediately stopped mining process, however it can work smooth of having good hardware configuration
same here, i also tried the browser mining on freebitco.in on my mobile phone (android os) but then my phone suddenly lags and hangs unexpectedly because i set the mining settings to full and adjust the number of threads and hashes to max limit and i think that is the main reason why does my phone hangs but then i tried it later on my laptop it actually worked fine without any other issues though it really takes a long time to mine a single satoshi even if my laptop has a good specs.
