Every day AV are doing their best better and better and every day hackers are boosting their methods, there is no special trick or method which will give you "hacker defense" score.. There are a lot of ways to hack PC and a lot of different methods to defend your PC :3

anyway to be sure that you are safety - use LINUX and ROOT PASSWORD <3  Kiss

Lastly, there is also a free test available online for people to check out. It essentially looks at your system’s performance and then lets you know whether your computer is being used for any shady activity or not.

But the author didn't say where to get this free test.

Anyways, common sense will dictate that you need to install anti-virus to protect yourself against these hackers. As for crypto mining, just don't go and click any suspicious link you found around the web. If you feel something's not right on your pc (high-temp, not responding, very slow) then its time to unplug and run some diagnostics.

So their advice is to check the temperature of the CPU and then install anti-virus "that will fail to detect new viruses."
I do not think it's enough technical advice to stop it. [Disable JavaScript ]
Generally, Bitcoin & altcoin mining will not be useful so you will be effective only with coordinated attacks.

so it's saying use an antivirus?  Huh
they mention crypto-specific browser plugins, I'd like to expand that with NoScript which disables all javascript until manually approved, it's great.
