I want transfer BTC from paper wallet to Ledger native segwit.
how to process in Electrum wallet?
I want just sent transaction from paper wallet to segwit wallet.
In Electrum:

- Create a "new" wallet (file -> New/Restore)
- Select "Import Bitcoin addresses or private keys"
- Enter you private key from the paper wallet
- Add a password, if desired (recommended!)
- After wallet is created, click "Send", then enter the details of the transaction you're trying to create (Address from Ledger Native SegWit wallet and amount etc)

I want to track balance on my paper wallet is this possible ?
I want to be sure that when I`m import private keys to Electrum Wallet the BTC will be not transferred to new wallet in electrum but will be stay on paper wallet.
If you just want to track the balance on the paper (and don't want to spend)... you can create a "watching only" wallet... Same as above, but just enter the Paper Wallet address (instead of the private key). This will create a watching only wallet in Electrum that shows the full paper wallet history, but cannot spend.

If you want to track and be able to spend, then just do the above with the private key as described... this will create a single address, imported wallet in Electrum with just your paper wallet private key and address. If you create any transactions, it will not create any "change" addresses... if you click "receive" it will not create any new "receive" addresses. It will only ever have your paper wallet address (unless you import more private keys/addresses).

NOTE: by entering your private key from your paper wallet into Electrum, you really should consider the paper wallet "compromised"... as the private key has been used on an "online" computer. I would recommend that you move all the funds to either the Ledger or to a new paper wallet (that was generated offline and where the private key has not been "exposed".)

I read 3 times but still is not clear for me what can go wrong.

I see that I just send transaction from paper wallet (use electrum) to segwit wallet on ledger nano X (However I will be use segwit wallet instead of native segwit).

importing does not move your funds, it merely imports your private key(s) into a NON-HD wallet.
sweeping basically generates a transaction to move your funds to the wallet you're currently using.

Now I really understand what means "sweep" in blockchain world thanks

Yup, by importing the private key, no transaction will be generated... But if you plan om moving your funds to your ledger wallet anyways, i'd still recommand you to use the walktrough i initially posted and couple your electrum to your ledger and use the sweep function (the one you didn't ask for, but still needed Wink )

Bitcoin is about freedom tough... You can do whatever you like, and it's not like you're doing something extremely dangerous as long as you pay close attention to where you downloaded electrum from, and even closer attention to keys, addresses, passwords and warning messages... It's just: the more (complex) procedures you execute, the higher the odds something goes wrong or your key gets compromised...

Sorry for the confusion with the topic

If you don't want to use your ledger wallet, but ONLY electrum (voiding the security, thus compromising your private key), you can create a non-HD electrum wallet by going to "file" => "new/restore" => give your DESKTOP wallet a name => "import bitcoin addresses or private keys" => paste your private key => next, next, next...

Yes , now I see that options thank You.

Could You confirm if I paste the Private keys that BTC will be not transferred?
But will be see the amount of BTC and then will be possible to send transaction to segwit wallet (example ledger nano x)

The title of your post was "How to transfer BTC from papper wallet to native segwit ledger".
Did you read the rest of my post? Cause i already pointed out that my walktrough was not what you asked, but what you needed.....

A ledger is a HD wallet. You can NOT import extra private key(s) into a HD wallet...

This way you end up with a non-HD desktop electrum wallet with 1 imported private key. If you had a legacy paper wallet, you'll end up with a legacy electrum wallet. If you had a bech32 paper wallet, you'll end up with a bech32 electrum wallet... If your original paper wallet contained a legacy address, and you funded this address, there is no way to automagically make it so that you now have a native segwit address that was funded. That only works by spending the funds funding your legacy address by creating a new transaction that funds a newly generated native segwit address...

Notice: this procedure is for "normal" paper wallets... you know, the kind of paper wallet that shows an address and a private key... If your paper wallet is actually a seed phrase, there is a different procedure for you...

to transfer your paper wallet to a native segwit ledger, i'd personally suggest to:
1) couple your ledger with electrum, verify the first couple of addresses (they should match between electrum and ledger)
2) in electrum go to the following menu: "wallet" => "private keys" => "sweep"
3) enter the private key from your paper wallet (it might be necessary to decrypt the private key using the tool you used to generate the paper wallet)
4) there is no step 4... It's done

Electrum's history tab will show the unconfirmed sweeping transaction, to answer the second part of your question: right click on said transaction and chose "view on block explorer" in order to track the transaction.

Last point: this procedure isn't exactly what you asked for... But it's what you need (IMHO). This procedure WILL move your funds from the paper wallet onto your ledger device, the balance on your paper wallet will be "0" after this procedure. Odds are small your paper wallet is native segwit, and even then, you can ONLY sweep your paper wallet when using a HD wallet like ledger, AFAIK you cannot import private key(s) into an electrum HD wallet, especially not if said HD wallet is coupled to a hardware wallet.

You could, theoretically, create a non-HD electrum wallet and import the private key from your paper wallet into this non-HD wallet so you can manage your paper wallet as if it were a desktop wallet. This way your wallet is NOT coupled to your ledger, it is NOT as secure as a hardware wallet... Even worse: i'd consider it compromised since setting it up required a lot of manipulations with the private key...

A "default" electrum wallet is a HD wallet, a ledger wallet is ALWAYS a HD wallet. HD basically means that all private keys are derived from a master private key. This also means there is no way to add your own private keys to the wallet... This also means you cannot import your private keys from paper wallet(s) onto a ledger (unless your paper wallet is actually a HD wallet to??? Which IS possible but uncommon... If this is the case, let us know).
