what the coins you sent to exchange ?
You have transaction id to trace it on blockchain
If you send eth, some exchange dont show balance before he dont reach 0.5eth value

A little more information would be good, like which exchange and which coin. Most likely the transaction is not yet confirmed, once the transaction gets confirmed the balance should appear.
You should mention the name of exchanger where you sent the coins so someone can reply to you.
