Such situation, tried to send tokens on exchange, first I set defolt (21000) gas limit - have a mistake "out of gas"
Next, I put 41000 gas limit - "out of gas"

Okay - 51000 gas limit = "out of gas"

Lmao, wtf?  Grin Is it okeay that 0,5$ is not enough for transaction?  Grin
What should I put next?

You would use
https://etherscan.io/gasTracker
Personally, I am using this one https://ethgasstation.info/ to track ether Gas price. but sometimes it does not work, I don't know why it happened!! You can bookmark this site for future purposes.
Same here, sometimes it does not work but sometimes ok. It seems that the ethgastation is delayed on tracking the exact gas price but still it helps just make sure to use gas price which is higher than normal gas price.

If he is trying to send it to other wallets some provider giving you or recommend you what is the exact gas limit that you should use to be able to confirm the transaction.
I'm using metamask and I always use their default gas limit and I haven't any issue yet so I recommend you to use metamask than using a MEW.

If you switch ETH then the gas limit will be 21000. If you transfer token, gas limit will move a value. You can set higher limit gas prices to avoid running out of gas

21K Gas limit is what a regular ETH transaction needs to move ETH from one address to another. Nevertheless, you are moving a token, so there is likely a smart contract that supports it and therefore, due to the code being longer and more complex, it requires a greater limit that the default 21K shown on MEW. For tokens, it is normally recommendable to set the gas limit around the 90-100k area.

As to the gas price, check on https://ethgasstation.info the current network recommended fees (set it based on the gwei shown there, and the if you want a Fast (<2m), Standard (<5m) or SafeLow Tx (<30m)).

Set gas limit 200k and 3-5 Gwei and enjoy it. Dont worry about gas limit because if it is not used, it will be refunded.

Indeed, it wasn't this way in the past, but now you get refunded the gas you don't spend, and this is great.

All the calculators listed above are great, but khoapham89 is the only one who has talked about the gwei. If you're not in a hurry to make the transaction fast, you'd try and use low gwei. If it doesn't work, you're always in time to increase it later.

There is a weird formula to calculate it.
Look at this link:
https://ethereum.stackexchange.com/questions/39401/how-do-you-calculate-gas-limit-for-transaction-with-data-in-ethereum

You can always put it at 100,000 or use myetherwallet and it will tell you how much gas you need when you input your destination address and token

thanks! I do use it, but defolt meaning transaction was failed, thats why I am asking here about gas limit, I used to not change the standart one but it doesn`t work for me now
