This dude doesn't even know how to ID a reference Hawaii card - let alone how to do a proper mod. I think someone is gonna have to make it for him.
thats why this dude asking for help,  and dude can learn if guided..
why would you attack me for not knowing something?  i learned everything from scratch,  to build a rig and to how to trade,  and looking forward to learn more..

Honestly, I wouldn't attack you for not knowing something that was at all hidden, or even if you had to search for the knowledge... but when it's the first sentence of a post you are linked to, we (well, actually, I should just speak for myself, so I) kinda get the feeling you're not actually reading the resources provided, and therefore not showing a genuine attempt to actually learn.

Biggest problem here is this:

i have heard some folks get 25m/h on 90w

It just cannot be done, shedded or not. Must be gpuz or some other software "watts".

Weeeeell... yeah, that is a major part of his issue, unrealistic expectations... but it stems from the same source: He doesn't know anything about the cards, their firmware, or what *is* possible.

Those work great if you just want to undervolt...but I assume the 'ROP shredding' is not so straightforward.

Das true - shedding ROPs would be better done by checking the diff between his and the stock ones, and applying - I *think* I know where it is, but since it CANNOT be done it software/firmware on Polaris, I never cared enough to try.

What you want can be found here:

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B2XVfIhkHZlfMllHSHp5RmFvYlU

The explanation for what is what you can read about here:

https://archive.litecointalk.org/index.php?topic=12830.msg121827#msg121827

Apparently it only works for reference cards.

You need to underclock AND undervolt.

Bios flashing is that next step, first learn to use windows software (ab, strixx).

VBIOS mod does too, it's not hard.

True haha!

i can learn fast, no problem, just if you could guide me a bit

do i need to flash ? ppl talk about this stlit vrom, with shedded ROPs...
thats why card running cooler and less wat, but how do i know what VROM to choose?

Should RX4xx cards be also undervolted, not only underclocked?

Yes, but they're a bit harder to properly undervolt.

Can you give a link or a lead how to find one for RX480?

You need to underclock AND undervolt.

Bios flashing is that next step, first learn to use windows software (ab, trixx).

VBIOS mod does too, it's not hard.

And lower your clocks. Lower clock = lower dpm state = lover voltage. No way you can do 25MH with 90w only, 150-170w should be doable without bios mods.

9**/1000 -100mV should get you there.

edit: trixx lets you downvolt -200mV

so do i need to overclock ? or just undervolt?

found this link..
folks say there is special Stilt bios, but idk which one to choose...

You can use the MSI afterburner to undervolt it up to -100mV.
