The flaw in your logic is that uninstalling Electrum does not uninstall your wallet.

* To uninstall the application you go to start->Electrum>Uninstall
* To remove your wallet file open a explorer and go to c:\users\username\appdata\roaming\Electrum and remove the electrum.dat file

Please note that, although it can't hurt, creating backups of your wallet file should not be needed as long as you remember your seed.

This is a very ignorant noob question.  I installed Electrum--works fine.

But I can't find a folder with an uninstall icon nor is it present under control panel-->programs--> uninstall. I want to unistall for two reasons

1) I like being able to know that I can easily uninstall anything
2) I want to test recovering my wallet
2) I figure the best way to secure my wallet is to back up the data and put it on an external drive and/or make a paper copy--then unistall electrum from my computer.  That way the wallet lives in a place where it never touches the internet.

If I want to do a transaction--then I would just install it again.

So where is the flaw in my logic please?

Thanks in advance.
