Maybe someone could buy into online digital coins in an online wallet through bitpay where that site can be affiliated with a gambling site, and then those digital currencies can be converted to bitcoins and be sent to those gambling sites. Would Bitpay still pose problems for this?

BitPay had refused gaming, when I had asked few years back.
Don't think they have got into it as yet.
Depends on the jurisdiction of the site and its customers. I think they are trying to play safe.
