I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.

Back home, I was able to zoom in on your screenshot.

OK, you got me. I bribed Staff's members to send me merits for red wine and saucisson. It seems some of them are weak for saucisson.

OK, OK, more seriously. For the next April fool, I proposed to Theymos that he delete all avatars, signatures, bounties, etc....
Everyone would think of an April fool's joke, but on April 2, Theymos would announce that this is indeed the truth. Some of the Staff liked this idea and sent me merits.

OK, OK, OK, I just posted a post in the Staff section about the moderation tools on Epochtalk for the other Staff members. That's all.
Proof:

I know I have other merits that appear deleted/off-limits. These are indeed deleted, but it was for the writing of topics of this kind and where I used a "draft" so that the Francophone community could discuss about these topics. This draft has been deleted as I stated in the selected part of the archive.

(Brouillon = draft in french)

Want to see if it is really a shitpost or anything that are meant to be deleted.  please enlighten me.
halab is a staff member + a merit source, him being a shitposter is highly doubtful.

If I could venture a guess it is this. halab received merits for the posts he posted in those threads but sometimes in the future the threads were deleted and moved to trash so they are no longer there. That is why we can't see them as the entire thread has been deleted/trashed/archived.

And regarding the size of your images...

I must be too old or your screenshot is too small, I can't read well. But I guess you're wondering about the merits received from EFS, mprep, Welsh, dbshck, frodocooper and xandry? Is that correct?

I was searching something on how to view deleted and this is what I have found your thread.

I was wondering why is this post deleted @halab post, are they really meant to be deleted?

I'm not against with @halab but I just not want to make offense meant, need to see it for curiosity.

Sorry for the screenshot, yes, I'm just curious. Smiley

You can also just add a "cache:" before the URL and Google will do the rest. The only issue is that the URL must be exactly equal to the one cached by Google.

E.g: the post you linked above (.../index.php?topic=3210468) isn't cached by Google and will result in an error if you add the "cache:" string. But if you add a ".0" after the url, it's going to work (.../index.php?topic=3210468.0). Take a look at the url you clicked the "drop down button" and "Cached". It's the URL ending with the .0 part.

Yeah, Google's almost invisible cache button is a gold-mine in these case. Does anybody know how to access it from a mobile device?

And if the post has an archive.is (luckily) then...

I also tried with what I normally use, waybackmachine, but no luck either…
But "Recent' isn't enough, it only covers the 30 days.
"Google's cache" is better:
- You can easily find the deleted pages (needs small adjustment for its link [similar to what "mdayonliner" suggested]).
- Automated process (more chances).

ex. I'll be using the following as reference:

Step 1: Copy its link
Code:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--3210468

Step 2: Remove everything after the topic number
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3210468

Step 3: Add " site:bitcointalk.org" and paste it on google
Code:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3210468 site:bitcointalk.org

Step 4: Click the "drop down button" > Click "Cached"

Direct SS link

Take note: Sometimes you'll end up with multiple threads (you need to check the dates and also look for the merited user [on each]).

2. Hover Merit [ Bitcoin Forum > Merit > Merit summary ]

View image
You can see one Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored post from my sent history.
I don't get why you say "Hover". Hover didn't do anything, I just have to click it to get to Recent merit.
But "Recent' isn't enough, it only covers the 30 days.

Feature request
It would be nice if the title is kept for deleted posts.

Nice one. I tried it out on someone else’s profile but I think the trick only works with your own profile, since it kind of defaults back to it when pressing the “Merit” shortcut.

<…>
Yes, you do need a bit of luck as you say to find it. I tried seven or eight deleted messages from another user and no luck.
I also tried with what I normally use, waybackmachine, but no luck either…

And if the post has an archive.is (luckily) then...

1. Right click and get the "copy link address"

2. Go to archive.is and paste the link on the search area and then hit the "save the page". You will see the small notification pop up.

Don't click the "save the page" again instead click the X on the right top.

You will see the post

If you’re curious about some Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored posts in your merit history. Then, these simple guides on how to view Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored title can help you.

You can view your own deleted post title by:

1. Go to Profile and click Merit

View image

2. Click Merit(top) [ Bitcoin Forum > Merit > Merit summary ]

View image
You can see one Deleted/Off-limits/Ignored post from my sent history.

3. Result

View image
You can now view at least the title of the topic/subject.
