my friends and I do not trust online wallets anymore, thanks to Gox, and also to the several other crypto and bitcoin exchanges that have had problems. If I have coin, I want full control of it. Blockchain is good because you can get your private key and so you can spend your money if the site goes down. But otherwise, having your coin online is like trying to keep your pet coy in a river. You're never going to know when they're going to be gone.
While cold storage may package as the best gift because you can wrap it and then physically open it, I think it is a good idea to give them a wallet (online), so that they can familiarize themselves with the process and how it all works (versus just having a coin, or piece of paper) to look at.
I think at least some wallet services let you import the private key.
So, give them a paper wallet, and then teach them how to import the private key into the web wallet. They'll learn a bit then too.

I want to hand out BTCs to my kids. So my question is: what is the best way to do it?
I need a software where I can easily switch between different wallets.
The wallets need to be accessable on minimum two different PCs.
OS is Windows 8.x
I would prefer not to use Java (due to several reasons, not to be discussed here plz).
I can (but would prefer not to) use different Windows logins/accounts on both machines.
Any suggestions how to do it the easiest way?

Well, they want to do something with the money...
So when they want to convert it to fiat money, they need to transfer the money to an exchange... and when they want to buy something at Amazon or a game shop, they also need to be able to enter their adress... and ofc I don#t want them to type an adress by hand, lol

IMO, the best way would be to give them a laminated paper wallet (possibly with BIP38) or an encrypted wallet on a USB.
You could probably look at Electrum - its lightweight, can be used on Windows, Linux and OSX and as far as I know doesn't actually use Java. It also offers the ability to switch between different wallets and signing transactions offline if you ever wish to move into cold storage.
