Many newbies create threads and abandon the post; after that, the only thing they need is merit; they don’t care whether there is useful information that will help them grow in the forum or not; all they want is to get merited, and that is not how they learn. I hope you will continue doing that after you create a thread; furthermore, even if you did not create a thread, go around the form and read some educational threads that have been posted by some other users; it will help you a lot.
Newbies dey easily dey frustrated when them create topics and them no come dey get merits for the topic. Them dey feel unappreciated, wetin them no know be say the forum dey different from other places. Merit no be the same thing as to ”like a post” the way e be for insta, TikTok and FB. Merit na big deal to many people and them no dey give am out easily but if you show consistency in your quality e no go waste time before the community go notice your posts.

I haven't been on this forum for long but with this little time I've been active, this forum has helped especially involving knowledge on so many things. If I create a thread, I also tend to read the comments and get enlightened from other people's opinions, I see how people share thoughts based on their experiences and also suggest solutions to issues and it has been helpful. The threads has also widen to my thoughts on a lot of things.

what's the purpose of creating a thread? Is it not just to get people's feedback on a subject matter you're looking for clarity on or one that's for the good of forum members?Every thread has it purpose And depending on why you created one, you can decide to walk through all the replies or just luck it once you've gotten the feedback you're looking for. I understand the place of having different opinion on a thread and we've hard threads that have hundreds of slide on the forum and has been up and running for at least a year plus. Those are just exceptional cases but generally, you create a thread for a particular purpose and once the purpose is met, you can always walk off into another thread.
This forum is worth it as you can learn a lot from people. But I do not think this thread is worth discussing on. The reason is that it has no useful information.

OP I like as you advise yourself come start this topic because older members don talk this same thing to newbies but some nor dey hear word. Na good practice to dey follow up comments for thread wey you create. I nor mean say make you reply every text for the thread but read most of them. You go fit learn something valuable wey you nor expect. And e dey also make people know say you be serious person wey ready to learn.

That is the essence of the forum. One is to get informed and the other is to learn. Anybody wey they this forum for a long time and nothing e they to show forth or say him done learn then something wrong is that person. Because i know say when i join this forum ah go say ah be they think like small boy but after a while my mentality done change since i don come across different people wey motivate me to be better person.
