Forgive me if i am mistaken on this, but when i started learning about cryptocurrency i learned that the role miners play in POW blockchains is to act as validators for cryptocurrency transactions on the Blockchain.
This makes me wonder how transactions where done successfully when cryptocurrency was first invented and there weren't a lot of miners.
Also how do new coins or token with  POW algorithm function in validation of transactions before miners start mining their coins.
