As a Legendary, I only give my smerits to useful post, even when the use of the language is not perfect, at least they are constructive, informative or helpful.
Obviously, it doesn't matter the rank of those who receive my sMerits ( i don't even pay attention to that but to the quality of the post I rewarded).
You seem to have two big problems: the first of them, you don't even care, you don't give a s**t about how to express yourself in English (neither it is my natural language and to me it is difficult to write in English for a single line can take me minutes... but I try to do my best, always). Your lack of care about the use of the language is just another symptom of your little interest and effort. The second one: you have received merit by doing so, by writing as a child and being pointless. I don't know if it is the result of trading with merits or whatever, but it looks dishonest and more than enough to put you into ignore.

It’s true that there is a fair bit of sMerit in user accounts, gained from the addition of the initial airdrop and the day to day posts.

The following graphic shows the ratio of sMerit given away per Rank over theoretical sMerit owned by the Rank (aggregating data for all it’s users).

The data aggregates all data for any user that has given at least 1 sMerit since the system was set in motion, and runs up to last week.

Note: Only users that have sent at least 1 sMerit are included in the dataset shown.

The first jump to conclusion would be that Legendary to Full Members give sMerit out, but only roughly 10% of what they have in their accounts. Proportionally that is true, but we should also see the net amount of sMerit they send, which is 84% of the total transacted sMerit. Also this is on the aggregate average scale, meaning some really give out a large proportion of their sMerit while others don't.

But this is not a numerical game. The more sMerit you have and the more proficient in the topics talked about in the forums, the more difficult it probably gets to give out sMerit out.

I myself, having a modest amount of sMerit, find it an increasingly difficult feat to give it out according to my criteria, since it evolves as weeks go by. And precisely, since sMerit is subjective and not objective, each one’s criteria is personal and not subject to debate (unless he’s an obvious merit abuser or account farmer).

Having said that, the overall amount of sMerit awarded may be small, but no one said that it needs to be given away in a rush since, as of yet, it does not expire nor decay.

Yet another merit whine thread.  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I am not a grammar nazi
And it's a whine thread that is qualitatively the same as any of the others, useless and poorly-constructed out of cheap materials.  Guaranteed it'll fill up with the usual suspects.

I am a grammar Nazi as well, though everyone makes mistakes.  However what we usually see aren't mistakes--it's just ignorance of the language and poor writing, sprinkled with a pinch of laziness and a smidge of greed.  In addition I would add that even if I wanted to give merits to someone like OP, currently I cannot.  The thing is that sMerits are a bit scarce and I've run out of them, and I suspect a lot of people have as well.  If you're not a merit source, you can't just pull these things out of your ass.

But everyone here knows I wouldn't give merits to tripe like the above.  This belongs in a locked dumpster.  The mere fact that two people so far merited this post makes me immediately suspicious of merit trading.

I have given my merit to this post https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.32209957. Dont you think,It is quality post.
There is absolutely nothing special about that post, but it's your sMerits.

It's not that easy to rank up, but do your best and you will finally achieve your goals. Good luck!
This is a generic shitpost that should be deleted.  This is the kind of thing that adds nothing to a thread about merit and certainly won't earn merit unless it's from a friend.

But as you know they prioritize their friends to give their merits instead of someone they don't know,
Oh, you mean like the thousands of other noob shitposters do?  The only people I see trading merit are low-ranked members who either sell it, give it to a friend, or give it to an alt account.  You assholes are the worst fucking offenders.  You can check my history and see I've given out plenty of merits to lower-ranked members.  The problem is that your posts suck, but you don't seem to understand that.

I agree with you there sir. Smerit is not easily earn when you don't get merit. Merit is not given to you when you beg for it instead work hard for it until you got merit.
Another winning shitpost.  This is monotonous.

It is very hard to earn merit. If you are posting high quality post, there is no one, who is here for review your post. There are lot of post on the regular basis and merit sources are limited. So dont wait for merit sources and so this is my humble request ,if u have Smerit then give to post ,which one u like. There is no point to store Smerit ,there is no use and it may be lapse after some time from ur account. So it is good u will give it to the quality post .That will start the fashion to give the Smerit. That is beneficial all of us.

Nice to see that you have yourself followed the advice you are giving. As per your merit history https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=merit;u=1476876, you had already given merit to a member for his post.

I had given most of my merits to new members only as they need it the most. I was running a merit giveaway and exhausted most of my merits. A lot of members are doing the same and are giving merits to members making quality contributions here.

If you're here because of merit, just forget this forum for now because it's no longer old forum anymore, the forum already improved and better because of merit implementation.
Althought it's difficult but it's not impossible if you can figure what kind of post that deserve a MERIT.

I suggest not bothering with merit too much.
Just continue your interaction with the forum like before.
Don't stress yourself too much. You cannot force someone to give you a merit.
It is one's privelege and it depends upon his discretion whether he would like to give it or not.
Most likely, they will prioritize someone they know, but one day a merit source might run into your post, review your profile, and hopefully give you merit.
There's more to life than merit!

It seems like it's very hard to earn merit.*.   Fixed it for you.

You can't give smerit tho. Also, before whining about merit, you might want to start from yourself. Your grammar is not the best and you might want to put your posts through some online spell checker, might help. Can't help that much with the the tenses. Not saying I have the perfect grammar but I've started paying more attention ti it. Cheers!

You have some point there. But as you know they prioritize their friends to give their merits instead of someone they don't know, well it hurts but sometimes it is really are true.  Why can we just work for it? lols

How on earth do you know what people do with sMerits? and you didn't explain anything about them anyway.
Please don't spam the boards with badly written begging threads about topics you don't understand. I'm sure you have gone on a few ignore lists because of this.

Why don't you realize that people might not be giving out merits because they might not encounter enough posts of good quality. Sometimes, if the point you make is good, then your grammar and spelling does not matter. Otherwise, bad grammar and typos really put people off. Have a look at the first sentence in your post.
I am not a grammar nazi, but you are not going to get many merits by posting like this (Even if you have a point, which you don't in this case).

Ohkk, I got the point.I accept my grammar error in the above post,I apologize for that ,But there is point.Mostly users are saving their Smerit or giving to the known one.So this is humble request to all users that there is no point in saving your Smerit and give it to the good post not the known person or users.

Thanks for this thread, you are absolutely right. You can see that, some bounty ANN provider get merit from several resources. But another quality post don't get any merit.

You can see that, somebody send merit to unactive profile ? Are you kidding guys, send it to somebody who really need merit.

yes, correct sir. Some of the user didt know about the difference between Smerit or merit. So for this I want to aware all of them.
