I think there are many more reasons but here are the ones I believe will have the most impact, what do you guys think? Would love to hear your thoughts on this and meet other cryptogamers!

Asset Ownership

Traditionally, the assets bought or earned in-game don’t belong to the gamer, but to the game publisher. Those assets are licensed to the player by the publisher, but if the gamer stops playing or deletes the app, the assets are gone forever. With blockchain, all those assets belong 100% to the gamer. For example, imagine you’re playing our new Stick Cricket game, if you buy or win a cricket bat, that item will go to your wallet, and you’ll be the only one able to use it. You will be able to sell it, trade it, loan it, customise it or do whatever you feel like doing with it, the publisher can't do anything about it.

Interoperability of gaming environments

Since you’re now the sole owner of your in-game items, you can take them to other blockchain based games and use them there. For example, you have a super cute cat that you bred in Cryptokitties, and you’d like to show it off to your Stick Cricket opponents, with blockchain you’re able to do that. And this works for pretty much any blockchain enabled game.

Open marketplace

Traditional games have a set of rules and restrictions when it comes to trading or transferring items from player to player. Blockchain allows us to create an open market in which users are the ones who set their own rules. And the best thing is, they can sell whatever they want there. If they want to offer cricket bat polishing or coaching services, they’re totally allowed to.

Rewards for players and developers

Game publishers can reward players with tokens that can be used to buy more items or to pay for game services in the marketplace. The more you play, the more tokens you’ll get. On the other hand, developers can also get a reward by contributing to the development of the game. They can add new game features or build things within the game, and get rewarded for it.
