When there is a next recesion, like the one in 2008, and if you know something about economics you know its comming, how will the bitcoin price behave? Will it go lower or higher?

I belive it will go lower, at least for some time (few months probably) and then it could be a different storys, but the first move, lasting for few weeks or months will be a move down.

What do you think, im asking in preparation, so i know what to do (buy/sell, after/before etc.)

we are still in the same recession, obama said it correctly last night on 60 minutes: wages are not keeping up with inflation, in fact they are going down.  no one has a dime to spare, let alone to buy btc with.

people in the us especially live on debt/credit cards.  they are for the most part not interested in using btc for commerce (right now)

Never back down !!!
The US is not in a period of recession now, and it will not be for more than a decade from now.

Are you serious? It´s coming as certain as the amen in the church.

If the central banks can reinflate the deflated credit bubbles, it is absolutely not certain.

It is 100% certain, the question is just when.

Take a bit of a research about the economic cycle.

If there is an banking crises and you want to keep your wealth safe, then you won't choose to buy something that's value can change 50%+ overnight and without an predictable indicator.

If the recession involves a banking crisis then the price of bitcoin would almost certainly be positively affected as people would be scared to keep their money in the bank and would need a place to keep their money and would turn to bitcoin.

If the recession is more of a "traditional" recession when the economy simply contracts then the price of bitcon could potentially go either way, there are arguments for both it going up and it going down

well and what do you think...? If you look at gold (which is quite similiar) to bitcoin, its price went down in the 2008 crisis, sure it took off from there, neverthless it was a good idea to sell gold right before the crisis and buy it back right after the crisis.

Thats why i am asking, to know if to sell bitcoin (and buy it back some time after) or buy even more when the recesion strikes, and strike it will...

what do others think about that, mainly those who know something little about econimics.

I now have a great doubt as to whether Bitcoin prices will return to the beginning of 2013
