Although genuine NFTs was said to be created using the exact style of programming utilized for cryptocurrencies 97% of the reputable member of this forum are mainly after Bitcoin, crypto investors discuss, and blockchain in general.
The reaction of most members of this forum will be no if the Youtube and discord created for this forum barely get the attention of users how can an NFT which didn't show much or contribute to the forum get a good reaction

For me, your suggestions don't really establish a connection to Bitcointalk for me, and the only way I'd be supportive of a NFT for Bitcointalk if it actually had a meaningful reason to be implemented, not just because it's the current fad. Although, to be honest I can't see anything in the short term that would warrant that implementation.

That's not really true.  Not all Bitcoiners have blinders on.  I think as a futurist it would be stupid to think that NFTs won't play a major role in the future digital economy.  When I see Bitcoin maximalists scream to hodl and dismiss all other forms of digital tokens, it is the same as seeing someone invest in a single stock and then criticize everyone else for having a diversified portfolio.  It's downright stupid.  You can root for Bitcoin to be successful while acknowledging that it doesn't meet every digital need the future will have.
There's been past versions of NFT's that were successful, they just weren't known as NFT's back then. This has been especially apparent in the gaming industry over the years. There's a few particular games which have had success with it over a number of years. So, we know if implemented correctly it can be rather successful. I think the issue is, calling it NFT has got a somewhat negative association, due to the vast amount of people who have basically jumped on the bandwagon, and tried to sell anything, and everything as a NFT.

I would agree there's no need to implement NFTs here.  Maybe if there were ever a distributed profit sharing plan of some sort, or if there was a need to raise funds for something, but there are better ways to do both probably.  If we ever got a Bitcointalk metaverse I could see why it might be cool.  Maybe this is something I could use a Sandbox plot of LAND for if there were any interest in building a Bitcointalk adventure.  If anyone is interested in something like this and has voxel skills, shoot me a PM.  It probably wouldn't be well received here though considering we'd have to use MATIC/Polygon due to Bitcoin's lack of smart contract support.

NFTs today remind me so much of Bitcoin in 2011.  It's so obvious they're the future, but everyone is so dismissive.  It's like people think that this is some sort of 0 sum game and other people's success will take away from theirs.  When the grownups get around to dabbling in NFTs things will change.

Bitcoiners ain't really interested in any form of some non-fungible whatever, and maybe this should not be on meta?

Goodnight, ohh Leo!!! 🦅
Seem very fascinating,yeah but that's uncalled-for anyways.
Maybe Op wants to probe certain users to some unnecessary derivatives? Bitcoiners ain't really interested in any form of some non-fungible whatever, and maybe this should not be on meta?

I learnt that an American based musician, Akon" is planning the sales of his next album as an NFT ....how well is the art proven to be compatible when it deteriorates in value with time?
Cheers,

I have never liked NFTs, I personally see them as an easy way to burn money, I can never spend a dime of my earning on NFTs again after the mistake I made in 2017 buying crypto kitties which have remained with me till date, I've stopped looking for a way to sell them, they are completely useless and to cap it up, scammers have used NFTs to scam alot of people in this space through buying NFTs you never be able to sell for life.

What does the forum have to do with pandas?
Lol, I'd also like to know what the forum has to do with pandas. But if it's a bear or a bull, I definitely want to take a closer look because we talk about it a lot when discussing bitcoin prices on forums.  Cheesy

In general, the prevailing opinion here is that nft is complete nonsense.
I don't know NFT, I don't like to talk about it, and until now I haven't been to opensea just to have a look. Even someone in my country managed to sell his own photos there for a high price, that also didn't make me visit the site. I don't know if it's nonsense, but I don't think I want to see it.

A giant Panda is a bear, so your NFTs would be promoting the bear market, just kidding. But mroe seriously, the Bitcoin centric part of the forum would not care for a forum themed NFTs, or any NFT for that matter. There are definitely members who see value in it and associate with them, but do not expect a wide spread interest if you did create some.

Just a quick edit from these: https://opensea.io/collection/eipandas
Basing them off "ethereum improvements"? It frankly would have been much better if they actually were inspired by the bear market.

I'm yet to get the usage of NFT (if any) lol. However, I know how NFT craze was few days back and maybe still there are some craze of it. But having any NFT based on bitcointalk doesn’t make any sense IMO. Some people here consider any other coin than bitcoin as shitcoin. Since, these NFT has nothing to bring good, I don’t think creating it is something worthy.
If you are personally up, you can create your own and give it a try to sell. Maybe you will be lucky enough as the Philippines guy who sold NFT of his selfies.

If you notice, in the third picture, there is "Such Moon" written on the shirt of the Panda. I don't think creating NFT Panda's and giving them names like theymos and other popular members will be appreciated by the community. To tell you the truth, I think the real use case of NFT is for the real artist who may sell his real art, rest all are quick money-making techniques.

NFT related/blockchain based games are quite fun I think there'll be something that takes over the ones that already exist though (if they don't get better graphics and some storyline to them - there might be some that emerge that have these though).
Yes the thing is some are just p2e with bullshit game system. I am only looking to serious tokenomics and good model and system. Like the mobile game guild of guardians, but they arent up yet for the game, most likley 2023. But their nft is already been trading. Done with the safekeeping of needed nft for the games and just patiently waiting.

I do some nft related to games

This idea will only be possible if theymos or other forum staff will give this a go signal to make this an official forum NFT. I don’t know if this is possible but it will be good if we can make our avatar directly using NFT like what twitter planning to do.

You don't need tbeymos' approval to do anything. You can ask for it once something is made but he's maid it pretty clear that's not necessary in the past.

If you wanted to make stuff out of content people already have though, you'd have to clear it with them (if it had enough focus on them/was solely their work).

Quote - “ How much do they cost?

- The first respondent to this thread will get theirs free as a Proof of Concept.
- The next 3 respondents will get theirs at a special price of $25 (payable in BTC, LTC, or DOGE).
- The price for all additional respondents will be $50.”

You just need a counterparty enabled wallet  Smiley

This will be good if the NFT are based on user here in the forum that has a great contribution in the forum such as theymos, satoshi and other global mods that serves a lot to maintain the forum. Actually the idea is not unlike other opinion here that obviously a Bitcoin maximalist thingy.

I think this way better since it represent we're all satoshi except Craig Wrong.

Title: WE ARE ALL SATOSHI

Or from this contest BitcoinTalkShow graphics contest and 10th anniversary art contest it's represent about this forum.

But I don't think the creators are accept their art to become NFT because it do have a problem about copyright, so it's depends on each person who willing to give it forum or not.

Honestly I think NFT hype already over, not sure why it keep discussed on Meta board...

I don't think many people here care about nfts though and their lack of anytbing (except being a token which will probably expire afaik when wherever it's hosted does).
I do some nft related to games but anything related to jpeg as a form of art associated with blockchain isnt not my cup of tea. There are more artists creating nft but it really not made for sake of arts instead a money grab.

I dont think some would do an nft related or more incline to btc cause that woyld be pointless and never gonna help in bitcoin adoption.

Content related (eg posts or art made from them) nfts might go somewhere but I don't think you'd do well with anything else.

A big part of bitcointalk community is into bitcoin only.
Another big part of bitcointalk users pretend to care about altcoins only because they get them some extra bucks.

This being said, NFTs come and go and most don't care about some gifs they don't understand why people pay money for them (why pay for gifs of questionable quality?)
Even more, bitcointalk NFTs could mean that bitcointalk endorses them and/or the NFT "scene", which I am sure bitcointalk doesn't do.

So no, this is a bad idea.

As a proud, although somewhat neurotic fish, I will agree to the question: wtf is supposed to be the relation between bitcointalk (and its users) and some pandas?!

I don't think this makes sense. What are those? Non-Fu*kinble Things? I don't think Bitcoiner would support it. I am not sure why and how those Panda are related to Bitcointalk. I don't think those JPG are worth anything.

Suppose those pictures are NFTs and worth anything. Then this could be another NFT and should be worth more than those three Panda.
This NFT is Posted by ThemePen on WO.
