Apparently you can wire them to a breadboard

A basic stamp? Anyone know how to do this?

Where is the exact documentation?

I actually am considering getting them off ebay because they are sold in smaller amounts, but will check out the thread too. Do you guys have any recommended places/people for me that I can contact and ask them to install it for me?

Regarding the avalon chips group buys, does anyone know what kind of import duties/taxes are charged to ship them first to the assembler in germany then to the UK. Thanks

also check out the custom hardware section under mining, theres a few people who will be taking in chips and building asics from them using the spec given out by avalon as well as group buys for the chips if u dont wanna buy the min order of 10k chips, i think the estimate to have a working asic with the avalon chips buys could be about 3 months by the time the chips arrive, then gets sent to someone to incorporate them into a working design and then send back, but it could be more possibly

The chips need to be installed on a board.  There is no board you can just plug them into.

There are other people on the forum (marketplace / auction section) who are buying ASICMiner chips and making their own boards.  Someone from there should be able to help you.

I can get Avalon Asic chips at less than $15 each and they each do around 283mh/s which compared to a graphics card is pretty good for their price. However, I was wondering, assuming I were to buy 5 for example, what would I need to do in order to make them usable for bitcoin mining. For example, would I need to use them as the CPU of a motherboard or what. And could I just get a very basic $40 motherboard, hook it up, get a basic powersupply, have nothing else and use it like that? Looking forward to your replies!
