Mine more blocks at first. You can try to put a reservebalance=x ( where x= the number of coins to keep in reserve) line into your conf file if you want to exclude some coins from staking.

just wail until your wallet is full sync. and dont forget to read the specific deatil of the coin you stake.for example : 100 blocks to maturity. this mean you have to wait until reach the 100 next block to spend your coin.
