A. Create a bitcoin copycat fork, with just parameter altered - no need to use this, can just use Bitcoin itself.

Not helping either, but mostly irrelevant as long as (A) is met:
1. Pre-mine coins
2. Be uber arrogant
3. Say you are way better at coding than the entire Bitcoin dev team
4. Say your new fork will kill Bitcoin because it fixes several Bitcoin bugs
5. Spread some good Bitcoin FUD
Fixed that for you

I just look forward to less Solidcoin astroturfing on the forums until the next pseudo currency scam captures everyone's attention.
Huzzah!

I vote for calling it NuCoin. Smiley

Was the graceful part the trolling/taunting the users or the "license" terms he put into his latest release?

The graceful part was provoking ArtForz into proving the chain had a flaw. Smiley

Here's a good way:

1. Post new cryptocurrency idea
2. Tell miners and speculators they have no control of the currency
3. Huh?
4. Obscurity.

sooner bury, xcoin will do little more convulsions before death a few day (after 20055 block).

but solidcoin devs gracefully shoot yourself in the foot.

If the creator made a ton of (real) money, is it actually a failure?

and most importantly

- change the license to your own proprietary one

(this goes for any failed FOSS fork)

Got another one for you (I suppose it extends the arrogant one):

- Don't let a huge twat be the PR guy for your bitcoin fork

I don't know whether any of you guys have noticed but the only thing that gives any of these cryptocurrencies ANY value is FAITH. Every silly argument on forums or IRC is reflected in the respective exchanges.

Bitcoin is a great idea.
Solidcoin had some changes i enjoyed.

How about a truce and a little bit of co operation?

Needs a ranking list.
Ixcoin or SC, which failed more?

It's a tough call, Ixcoin failed from the start, while SC looked pretty promising for a while but got ground into said ground by the originators actions.

Or is btc the largest fail because people think it works and will actually become a useful currency?
