According to wikipedia it says they can "Theoretically up to 1 or 6TB possibility of 10 TB to 100 TB". Is this like theoretically time travel is possible, but we know it's not really?

Yeah, I've been keeping my eye on these type of massive format discs for a while. 500gb is nuts, but I can't imagine what price these will be at when they finally do come to the market.
That would be awesome to make backups on (I assume it works like Blu-ray, and therefore cannot crash or become demagnetized like a HDD?)
