Some people were saying it would ruin not just his chances of running as a president but also his whole political carrier as well. Any updates on this?
In general politicians should try and shut their mouth regarding such issues, including joking.

Maybe people who can't afford to take a month or two off without someone else paying for it shouldn't have babies in the first place.

Sanders would raise payroll taxes on everyone to fund paid family leave
Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders said his tax increases would “hit everybody” because he would raise the payroll tax to pay for paid family and medical leave.
Sanders said, “I think if you are looking about guaranteeing paid family and medical leave, which every other major country has so that when a mom gives birth she doesn’t have to go back to work in two weeks. Dad or mom can stay home with the kids. That will require a small increase in the payroll tax.”

How about, gtfo of people's backs in terms of taxes and regulations that have killed off middle class jobs and then the mom can voluntarily take off the time she needs and the dad or other spouse can keep things rolling financially while the mom or whoever tends to the baby. The answer is always bigger, intrusive government with these damn socialists. They are the real enemies of what bitcoin does.

Someone should mention to Huckabee that there is a big difference between resisting a terrorist and mocking a whole nation. If he can't distinguish between the dictator and the people, then perhaps he should find another profession.
