What's the purpose of the .icns file that is 900K or so in the core zip?

Is that the only way to compile to the Mac OX using a huge compiled .icns file?

All the other images are not huge files, any known security issues yet with .icns files like .jpg

~~i aske friend is developer. he say this~:

"the .icns file in an cryptocoins source is for OSX QT-wallets. it cointains the logo in different
resolutions(launcher icon, logo, etc.). Therefor it s a big file. The .icns file is also called icon-set."

hope i helped~
