Being educated enough and understanding any circumstances will help you to enhance good decision making.

This line IMO does not really make me agree. Education isn't what can make you to a good decision. It can help you though because it may place you better to take certain appropriate decision. Why I don't totally agree is that there are some people that are not educated but they have taken very good decision. That means wisdom is more adequate to make you take a good decision.

Humility and patience is the greatest tool to being successful, in any endeavor in life. Using this forum as an Example. Without Humility most people won't lay low to read and contribute for quite a long time. Patience is the greatest weapon of a hunter, utilize patience like its a skill. This forum teaches humility, by examining how often you participate in the discussions without causing havoc. If you humble yourself, you will be lifted above all.

Being educated enough and understanding any circumstances will help you to enhance good decision making.

Humility is really necessary when you are engaging in something that is worth it and when you make your self successful with it, then that's the time where humility will be shown. Yes, patience is also necessary but when you are not disciplined enough, patience will become useless. It is not stupidity when you let someone do what they want, sometimes you need to understand them.

I never saw humility as stupidity. I think it's a way of learning things and gaining more knowledge. For too proud people, it would be quite hard to accept that they have committed a mistake cause they may feel that their ego is being stepped on. And they won't be able to learn and grasp more if they think that they're always right.

May I just also add this quote that I've read, "Yes, you're good. But don't think that you're better than others." This means that we must be confident with ourselves, acknowledge what were capable of, but we should also be humble at the same time.

Quote
One cannot be humble and aware of oneself at the same time

Can someone be kind enough to explain this?

I asked a friend on his view about this. He said his answer in our local language so I'll just do my best to translate it for you.

"'Awareness' in that quotation could mean being aware of your abilities. Like for example, I know that I am good at something, let's say drawing. But I say that I'm not good at it. That's false humility. That awareness may lead to pretention."

He's not sure if that's correct though. But it could be. It's just, the term awareness is quite a broad word.

Hope it helped. Grin

It is never a form of stupidity, humility is just a good thing to do all the time.

When you think that someone deserves that humility, do it. It is not a form of strengthening your pride, it is what you called understanding the situation. Being humble all the time and have the willingness or urge to learn is not a stupidity, it is a way where you don't want to offend someone. It is a way to show having a lowkey personality in any circumstances.

The motive that carries the OP in the topic for beginners is not entirely clear. How does this relate to cryptocurrency? Nevertheless, if all this is associated with cryptocurrencies, then it would be more correct to call it not "humility" but "modesty".
Many proud and boastful people. They are sick with arrogance and love to show off their capital. But talkativeness always hurts only itself.
If you apply the concept of modesty here, being humble is good advice for newbies.
It can be advised to stay humble, even in moments of extraordinary success. It always beautifies a person.
And to show pride, if suddenly someone offends, this is not always the right way. Strong people always remain calm and modest, as they are always confident in their abilities.

I don't think there's a big need for humility on this forum, it's not like we have people fighting with each other across all boards, unable to accept each other arguments. In fact most of the high-merited people easily admit mistakes or lack of knowledge and take it as an opportunity to learn, which is how they became so knowledgeable.

And newbies are more often suffering from the opposite problem - too much humility. They are scared to express their own opinions and instead choose "safe" things to say here, like agreeing with other posters all the time and repeating popular opinions. This means that they aren't contributing anything to this forum.

I don't have any fancy quote for you, but you will indeed humble yourself as an adult, especially with a "new" complex technology like Bitcoin. I've personally made mistakes with "real" traditional currencies, but I've made some silly ones with Bitcoin too. The difference between stupidity, and humility is whether you learn from it or not. If you do not learn from it, or at least put in systems to avoid the same fate, then you are indeed stupid. There needs to be progress whenever you make a mistake, and that is the very foundations of life, and not just related to Bitcoin.

Humility without any form of benefit is total stupidity. Although humility shouldn't be an act of eye service or displayed for favouritism. It should be an act of responsibility which displays once level of handling situations around such individuals. Humility pays I must attest to this because it creates opportunities where pride fails to show up. Its of high essence and great necessity that people irrespective of their current achievement display high level of maturity so as add value to who ever the come across

This line of yours has contradict your mode of thought or reasoning in the body of what you said. Humility is not suppose to attract any benefit or expecting something in return immediately. It is something that not everybody can be humble, it is difficult and built inside the person. If you don't have such, you can't display such. So humility is a character that few carry.

pride can be use in two different ways and that is for Good things or bad things.

Good can be for your own future and bad for your own defeat.

Stop using pride in no sense and to hurt others.

Pride can force us to do things we don't really want to do, just because we think it is expected of us. People basing their beliefs too much on pride might find to regret their decisions with a clear had. We should always evaluate our actions on more than just pride. The issues are within our society I believe. There are certain norms we are expected to follow. For example, for most people it means that if there is a winner it means the other person is a loser. Life is a zero sum game and for one person to get ahead someone else has to suffer. That's is why humility is often being exploited by others. In my opinion that's wrong and leads to many conflicts. There are a lot of grey areas in life.

Pride always leads people to evil those who think they are too big may become arrogant and always just talk about themselves bragging about their talents work or wealth or when talking to someone he can always show something special by talking about himself. Talking like this shows that they lack true love and can cause resentment among others that is why the arrogant person moves away from others.

The thing about pride is, it always creates in an individual the innate desire to be appreciated at every point. This makes you an extrovert and you find yourself always aspiring to feature in that which doesn't concern you and acquiring that which you don't need and have little concern for other persons. You remain ignorant in the things of your surrounding and as such, you don't know when your stepping on people's toes and whom your hurting and certainly in time, nature would dish you out your measure.

Pride could be a useful tool, having a pride in archeivement could be a motivation to seek more archivements but making pride a focus for seeking archivements would drift you further away from your path to success.

They say pride is one major undoing of a fall.

Meaning if you are a proud person, the fall is just waiting or the ending is usually not positive. Pride can be seen as the opposite of humility.
Humility therefore, is an important factor in a personality. It is that factor that tries to balance our ego. It either makes you likeable or otherwise.

Quote
It's really important to practice humility, to develop into a better leader and a better person. Humility and vulnerability make us more likeable.

It is simple as we all have experienced some people who are not humble and perhaps if we liked them or not.

Humility will always bring you more gains than hurt. Both in the real world and here that seem faceless (but certainly with emotions). For example on the forum, I have had jetcash merit me for just admitting to a simple clarification
here

This is just a few examples of the numerous I should assume by others who might have been beneficiaries of humility that they have unintentionally displayed. Therefore, if you don't have the humble attitude, you can try to adjust into it, it is possible because change is constant. But in being humble, don't be stupid.

It takes humiliation to teach us the virtues of humility.

Our fall shouldn't be the end of us. Our ability to work out our mistakes makes us strong people because tough times don't last but tough people do. If you are eating on the floor, be confident in your struggle, put more effort and you will get there at the top. Don't allow your humiliation make you turn your back on humility.

There is always a ripping time for a humble fellow.
Humility can gets the other person to think of you as being foolish. Humility come with some language or phrase and when used, the other arrogant receiver might see you as a weak fellow but never mind to use words such as these below:
Thanks, I'm sorry, please, is my mistake, I admit my wrong, forgive me, you are welcome, you are kind, you are right etc

Remember not to be wise where ignorance is bliss or the order around.
