better to use what you have already used looks much safer in my opinion, if you don't mind the kyc of all those exchanges for i have never had any issues regarding withdrawals.
if possible I give advice just use your local exchange which can have bsv in it.

I suggest you to withdraw immediately after you finish your trade. They're not trustworthy enough to store your assets.
Maybe you mean it is not a safe place to keep your assets, saving assets in an exchange especially for the long term is not a good thing, because when the exchange is hacked, our funds can be lost there.

I have traded on Gate.io and KuCoin, however for now I prefer KuCoin, I only trades small amounts so I don't need to do KYC, KuCoin still trustworthy
It is much safer to do KYC in trading on this exchange to secure your account when there is a problem with KYC, we can provide valid data when a problem occurs, especially when hacking occurs on the exchange, of course the funds will be lost but that is all the responsibility of any exchange. those who get hacked can do that.

But obviously I have never deposited an asset for so long on an exchange just to trade it when the market is busy it means a high rise and there I feel a big deposit back to maximize it.

Gate.io and my Kucoin have been using this exchange for a long time and are still safe.

I used three of them. At the time of writing, I also support what others say. I'd say Kucoin is my favorite between those three, followed by Huobi and then Gate.io. However, I suggest you to withdraw immediately after you finish your trade. They're not trustworthy enough to store your assets.

Those exchange sites can be trusted and they have very good services for their users. Kucoin is a very good exchange site. Coinbase and gemini were also good exchange sites.
I think that gate or kucoin must become the best choice for you dude consider i have been using both of these exchange sites since a few years ago and i never encounter any problems with it.
I vote for kucoin and gate.

It's good to ask  Grin this is something most newbies don't do but the fact is all the exchanges you mentioned are all top crypto exchanges, they are 100% safe for newbies to use but KYC is needed on them to trade and withdraw, why not consider binance exchange? You don't need KYC on binance to trade or withdraw

Of the 3 you mentioned. I suggest you stick with Kucoin. At the moment, the KYC procedure is not strict, and they rarely force traders to verify like gate.io does.

Just like Binance, Kucoin is not as regulation compliant as Coinbase and Gemini so once in a while you will see news of Kucoin vs SEc, Kucoin vs FinCEN etc

Kucoin is good and you'll not have problems with them. They're an aspiring Binance exchange and they're following where Binance is going so you should be good using them. I have no experience with Huobi and Gate but I've seen good reviews about them too but to prove that, I lack of evidence because I have never used them.
Is it similar to like binance where if you don't do KYC, you could still withdraw x amount?
For kucoin, yes.

LOL. Kucoin is a large and reputable exchange like any other exchange. Kucoin has a security deposit fund and a hedge fund to use when emergencies like attacks occur.
Kucoin has been taken away 200 million dollars in 2020 but they have been proactive to fix the damage and I find it to be a good exchange. You can find more information about the user manual and reviews about this exchange from the following links:

So Kucoin is basically like just right under coinbase/gemini/binance/kraken/bittrex then right?

Again i heard of it... but no where as much as the ones i mentioned above.

Do they require KYC in order to use them?

It's basically the same thing. See the documents I sent you with the two links above for more specific information. They do have KYC requirements but it's not required. If you have an extremely large deposit and withdrawal needs, do all forms of KYC.

Did they ask for your KYC?  Did they care about your location?  What if you are in restricted location?

KuCoin is pretty reputable, but we really can't comment on security. Because exchanges are exchanges, and exchanges get hacked hence why you shouldn't leave funds in them for long periods of time. https://cryptosec.info/exchange-hacks

As for AML/KYC, the last time I used it it had tono KYC(last year), so there's that.

Edited my typo

How are these exchanges?  Seem to be the few that has bitcoin sv.  I basically want to claim my bitcoin sv in electrumsv... then send it to one of these exchanges.

I heard about kucoin but not the others.  Are these as safe as coinbase/gemini?
