Then it’s our fault too. According to an article posted on The Guardian, it were the hot oceans that fueled Hurricane Harvey, producing intense rainfall. The scientists used rainfall data and calculated how much heat fell in the form of rain. The results were a nearly perfect match with the energy taken up by the storm. And just before Harvey, ocean waters both globally and in the Gulf of Mexico were at record temperature because of human warming.

This could mean that storms can become more violent in our continuously warming world.

Oh, Earth. We continue to fail you.
